3 days later… and I’m so proud of this one!
Made from 676 tiny butterflies, each cut from waste drinks cans and placed by hand to create a seamless rainbow gradient 🌈
Definitely one of the most detailed pieces I’ve made so far.
Now available on my website — link in bio.

It's certainly not always been easy but I regret nothing 🥰 When I started back in 2008 I thought I'd give it my all for a year and see how I go.. almost 18 years later and I still can't quite believe that I get to do my dream job 🥰 Chase your dreams folks!!!

A slightly different kind of sustainable piece this week as we are excitedly preparing for the upcoming festival season! 🎪
These festival baubles are made from sustainably sourced plywood and designed to give old festival wristbands a second life as a keepsake, rather than leaving them forgotten in a drawer.
I love the memories tied up in festival wristbands — favourite bands, muddy weekends, brilliant friends and late nights — so it’s nice being able to turn them into something you can actually hang up and enjoy.
Available in a range of designs, ready for you to add your own wristband. This one is inspired by our very first festival of the season, Bearded Theory. Can't wait to be in the fields soon!
Available on my website and in my Etsy shop.

Making Art from Waste with Sarah Turner 🎨
Nottingham-based eco artist and designer Sarah Turner held a special upcycling workshop during 2026 Egg Rolling traditions, creating a Crested Ibis (Nipponia nippon) sculpture for our Japanese Garden in Avenham Park.
The sculpture contains around 500 individual feathers and handprints made from plastic bags, bubble wrap, a blind, a tent, a lampshade and much more! The handprints are decorated with Green Pledges from members of the public who made a commitment to living more sustainably every day. 🙌
The endangered Crested Ibis is a culturally significant and symbolic bird in Japan. The sculpture has been created to inspire change and recognise that small individual changes can have a wider positive impact on the natural world when we all join together to make a difference.
The Crested Ibis will be on display in the Japanese Garden for the next couple of weeks. Whether you want to admire Sarah's incredible work or try to spot a personal pledge you made during the egg rolling, come along and be inspired by what our waste can be turned into.

I’m really excited to be at two Pride events this summer where I’ll be bringing lots of colourful pieces like this along.
