We may be in Month 2 of 2026, but @santithellama , @joezappulla , and I are still feeling the new year’s energy in TAF’s first ever two-part episode!  Relive the feelings of optimism that January 2nd gifted as your resolutions start to lose meaning, like the thumbs-up react on that text message you sent. Watch their film DOOMSCROLLING on @nobudge : A young man talks himself through a panic attack. In DOOMSCROLLING, Santi MacLean layers multimedia documents and data moshes on top of a vulnerable outcry. With bulging eyes and spaghetti-like green hair, the young man speaks in the form of a 3D-animated figure. In a high pitch voice, the character extrapolates on recent feelings of self-hatred and general aimlessness, due to financial pressures and up-keeping physical and intellectual standards while encountering romantic hook-ups. Micro-aggressions stretch the narrator’s mental bandwidth into oblivion and his cryptic self-recorded videos, along with other digital images, disintegrate into the next. While the outside world and its tactile elements offer moments of calmness, only so much can heal until the state of reality hits yet again. MacLean’s film moves quickly but packs a final punch, capturing the overwhelming influx of textures and feelings siphoned into a young person’s feed, and mind, today.

Doomscrolling - OUT NOW Some BTS since it’s been out for a little over a month :) 1 - dance outtakes 2 - some thoughts 3 - me and joe on blender 4 & 5 - record myself drink a whole bottle of water and then p*ss myself and after i was done the video was CORRUPTED, so i reached out to a file recovery service to try and fix the video but I was only able to get the first part back LOL. I was like… how do i explain this to a random person…. 6 - me and joe on blender making the biking scene 7 -some doodles i had intially sent joe 8 & 9 - some unused work rants 10 - FT w joe while I tried to figure out why GarageBand kept crashing every time i worked on the score 11 - the recovered water video (no pee) randomly the water was SO cold 12 & 13 - more me & joe working 14 - the credits song! another thing I would do in this time of high anxiety is make little songs on GarageBand and then listen to them to fall asleep lol I really like this one bc i feel like it captures the feeling of calming yourself down Kisses!
