Stamp Out Hunger is a nationwide food drive led by the National Association of Letter Carriers (@lettercarriers ), bringing communities together to help stock local food pantries. This year, more than 40 volunteers gave their time to receive, unload, sort and prepare an estimated 10,500 pounds of food collected through the Encinitas Post Office location.
Thanks to everyone who donated and volunteered, CRC’s client-choice pantry is better stocked to help ensure neighbors have continued access to nutritious food, dignity of choice and compassionate care when they need it most.

TODAY is Stamp Out Hunger! 🥫 Join the nationwide effort to end hunger by leaving a bag of non-perishable, non-expired food by your mailbox and participating letter carriers will pick it up for the @uspostalservice Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive, the largest one-day food drive in the country. Donations collected in Encinitas come to CRC’s food pantry, where neighbors can select fresh, healthy items that meet their needs.
Some of the top requested non-perishable food items are: cereal, pasta, pasta sauce or spaghetti sauce, rice, canned fruits and vegetables, canned meals (such as soups, chili and pasta), chicken/vegetable stock, peanut butter, macaroni & cheese, canned protein (tuna, chicken and turkey), beans (canned or dry). You also can donate healthy, low-sodium, low-sugar items such as oatmeal and other whole grains, and canola or olive oil.
