My last BUCs as a university student but from a completely different angle and I loved every bit of it! I remember first taking over the uni club in my 2nd year and we had 2 lifters compete the year before and this year we had 5 podiums which is insane to me! I know everyone from the club that came to support and competed did me and @morgegoody very proud and we couldn’t ask for more from you guys! @rufarolifts 🥇7/9 executed perfectly despite a little panic on bench press! But after the nerves settled won and broke the deadlift record 😝 @kurtalib 🥇 8/9 trusted me with his rehab and was patient with some injuries coming into it and showed out with the total record and the squat record. Now to chase the open total record 👀 @ltownend05 7/9 day still yet to fill out the 74s but a huge step in the right direction & we will break into the 600s soon enough! @danilaivins 7/9 day. Some massive comp PBs after a short turn around just need some more time and next year she will be a massive threat for the podium! @ayonla.gym 8/9 day. 🥈did everything I asked for and came in a lot stronger than a lot of people gave him credit for which really shows when he tries he has so much talent! @subiksha.pl 7/9 day. 🥈 Managed to forget bench commands but squatted 187.5 at about 2 rpes less than 182.5 in march! But again another one that will be one to watch for next year with some time in the sport! @shalom_lifts 9/9 executed perfectly and came in strong despite final year medicine exams & you can really see the potential if he sticks within the sport long enough! @davidi.lifts 4/9 Managed to not enter properly and forget his socks and his belt for his attempts but probably the most fun to handle and with some consistency will be doing some silly numbers in no time! And finally a massive thank you to @elladlifts who I wouldn’t have been able to do this weekend without and dealt with mine and my athletes crash outs all weekend. Ella you are a star ⭐

Client 2 from PWRTHR is @public_.ah 97.5kg 92.5kg 140kg 330kg This was Abdul’s first comp & it was great to take him through his 1st prep. We weighed in lighter than expected so ended up in the u53s however are looking to grow into the u59s in the long term and plan to compete at BUCs in 2026. Abdul is crazy strong for his bodyweight and I am very excited to see what he does in the future. DM for coaching.

Introducing our coaching Team for 2025-2026 academic year. Sam is an experienced powerlifter who has competed both nationally and internationally for the university. He offers 1-1 coaching online and will also act as a head coach for the team during team training and at regionals & BUCs. Kurt is a well experienced lifter who previously competed at open nationals and is one to watch for 2026. Looking to make a statement at both the university and junior level. Kurt offers plenty of knowledge to be a key figure in university of Leicester first official year at the British University Championships. Graphic by @b.h.design

She has plenty of experience and is doing her Level one British powerlifting coaching qualification later this year. Ellie will be running female only taster sessions & then taking on the role of BUCs captain offering support throughout the year for all our lifters. Graphic by @b.h.design

Debut comp for @k_gent05 130-140-145 3/3 92.5-97.5-100 3/3 165x-165-182.5 2/3 427.5 8/9 A very promising first comp for Kane who started powerlifting in January. Kane has taken massive strides in these months together, we managed to put together an almost perfect going 8/9 for with a slight speed wobble at the top. With PBs all around - super excited to see where Kane is in February! DM for coaching
