Introducing Samuel Haitz, born 1997, finalist in the Art category. Based in Zurich, the artist develops a practice across sculpture, installation and text, where personal memories intersect with broader cultural and historical narratives. Drawing on processes of appropriation, repetition and layering, his work engages references from art, literature and poetry to explore the mechanisms of desire and their impact on form and identity. Moving between the intimate and the collective, his compositions reveal a tension between the everyday and the constructed, opening spaces where meaning remains fluid, partial and continuously shifting.
