This is a little of me and my why behind The Big Wheel. 441kms. 8 days. In my everyday wheelchair. Not because I have to but because I can and because a lot of people out there are doing it way tougher than they let on. Mental health isn’t always obvious. Most of us have felt it at some point, some are right in the thick of it now. This is my way of starting more conversations, raising some money, and hopefully reminding people they’re not on their own and together we can do hard things. If you’ve got 5 minutes, I’d love you to watch it. If you feel called to support even $5 helps. 👉 Donate here: .au/page/393886/the-big-wheel And if nothing else, check in on your mates. #thebigwheel #mentalhealth #disability #breakthestigma #pushforapurpose

47 days until I set off on the big wheel- ‘What do I gain from doing The Big Wheel’ was a question I was asked today….. And honestly, financially? Nothing. If anything, it’s costing me time, money, energy, sleep, comfort, and a whole lot of kilometres on these wheels. But what I gain is a sense of purpose. A sense of accomplishment. A reminder that even though a lot of people see disability and assume limitation, I can still use what I do have which is a lot , to hopefully make a difference for somebody else. Maybe that difference is raising money for rural mental health. Maybe it’s starting conversations people have been avoiding. Maybe it’s making one person feel a little less alone. And the beautiful thing is, I’m not the only one giving something to this. Today I received an incredible painting donated by Aussie country legend @troycassardaley to auction off for The Big Wheel. Which made me think, What does Troy gain from donating this painting? What do businesses gain from sponsoring? What do people gain from donating raffle items, sharing my videos, sending messages, or cheering from the sidelines? Probably not much financially either. But there’s something bigger in all of this, Community. Connection. Purpose. The feeling of being part of something that genuinely helps people. And to me, that’s worth a hell of a lot. 441km. 8 days. One push at a time. 🎵 Fred brophys in town - Troy Cassar-Daley #thebigwheel #ruralmentalhealth #mentalhealth #art #country

10km training sesh back to back off yesterday ♿️ 15kms on road tomorrow morning before a rest day on Saturday. Little tougher today not gonna lie 😅 But these autumn days are pretty bloody good for the soul 🍂 Every session is building toward 441km over 8 days for rural mental health. If you want to support The Big Wheel, chuck a few dollars if you can toward the cause here or give it a share. .au/page/393886/the-big-wheel #thebigwheel #disability #charity #training #autumn

Still vibing off a ripper day yesterday. Meeting @neddbrockmann and the crew at sunrise was 10/10, I was happy to just be invited and feel the vibes then @commbank threw their support behind me and almost made me cry prior to hitting the mountain (still speechless) 👌🏼🤙 Conquered Mount panorama, and feeling stronger for it today. Almost had a whoopsie moment thought my bar booking was for Saturday not Friday haha made it back with jusssssst enough time to spare to mix up a couple hundred cocktails at a beautiful country wedding ❤️🥰🤣🙈 Yesterday was A RIPPER 💪 Heart is full, vibes are high and I feel so energised to give #Thebigwheel ‘push for a purpose’ all I’ve got! 🎵 - Corey Kent - something’s gonna kill me #mountpanorama #disability #ditl #commbank

Quick 3kms in my work gear between jobs. Hailed a lovely chick minding her own business to film for me for 2 seconds 🤣🤣🙈 -Wednesday thoughts hooning back into town- “Am I really putting my all into #thebigwheel and raising $$ for rural mental health if there not a few training sessions in my work gear.” Can’t say a bluntstone is quite the right shoe for this job but my blue fit today certainly was an all day , all occasion classic. 👌🏼 🎵 blue (da ba Dee)- Eiffel 65, gabry ponte #disability #wheelchair #charity #mentalhealth

Edit: Nedd has reached out, he’s away for the big wheel and has been very generous in his support towards the big wheel. Thankyou all sooo much for YOUR support. Oki doki yep I just did that 😅 For every comment tagging Nedd Brockmann on this post, I’ll donate $1 of my own money to The Big Wheel. BUT only if he shows up and does a run with me during the 441km journey. Capped at $2,000. Let’s see if we can make enough noise to get his attention. This is all for rural mental health ,something that affects way too many of our communities. Tag him. Share it. Let’s go. 👇👇👇 @neddbrockmann #thebigwheel #mentalhealth #charity #disability #neddbrockmann

I’m a minority within a minority out here, a woman, with a disability, working in agriculture. And sometimes it’s bloody hard. Sometimes it takes longer. (I make a point of hooking in) Sometimes it looks different. But different doesn’t mean less. It just means finding your own way to get the job done… and backing yourself while you do it. There’s a lot of talk about what people can’t do not enough about what they actually ARE doing. So here’s your reminder (and mine) We’re capable of more than we’re given credit for. And we don’t need it to be easy… we just need the chance to have a crack. ‘Thursday thoughts’ I explain myself at most jobs I rock up to after being given the “you didn’t tell me you were in a wheelchair” talk. Like it makes a difference to them 🤣🤣🤣 Weird kind of funny experience yesterday 🙈 #disability #agriculture #womeninag #rural #strong
