11 Years ago I took a leap of faith
I bet on myself
I risked everything
Took a chance
Faced uncertainty
Moved Across the country
Had 0 dollars to my name
Left all my family and everything
I’ve ever known.
But I chose to CHASE I chose my passion
And was given an opportunity
That required work
HARD WORK to be exact
I chose faith relentlessly each night
Believing everything would work out
I just worked and worked
And believed and believed
11 years later I realized i jumped and made that leap not knowing where life would bring me - as I reflect in the last photo - I find myself being grateful for it all and I choose to always believe in the cliches that with ridiculous work ethic and a grand belief in yourself you can change your life in a matter of a short period of time. It takes that LEAP - it takes the work and it takes the belief. A lot of people are afraid of the work and the belief because it is SCARY to bet on yourself everyday hoping for change and facing that uncertainty. That shit is scary - but when you defeat that fear - there is not a greater feeling in the world. And this year’sa birthday feels like an ode to that photo and just as special as it was 11 years ago. I’m proud of myself for it all. And I fill my cup by relentlessly helping others because I simply just believe in people whole heartedly.
