A dream come true to shoot a film of Stephen Sondheim’s musical I’ve been obsessed with for years.

Greta Gerwig introduced it to me when we made Lady Bird — the high school kids perform it in that film — and getting the call from legendary director Maria Friedman to photograph her revolutionary production was a true honor.
