Seriously can’t express how thrilled I am to arrive at this moment. Back in 2020, my friends and I holed up in a Colorado cabin and shot a feature film. Or what turned out to be 30 minutes of one.
As months turned into years(!), we dug deeper and deeper, reshooting and re-editing to make the best film possible. It all sounds dramatic to say about a 74-minute no-budget cabin in the woods horror-comedy, and it is. For us, AMAT became the perfect snapshot and outlet for an era of uncertainty: a way of ‘keeping the band together.’
To say it’s been a wild ride would be the understatement of my early twenties (RIP). But, if I told younger Ben 10* years ago that he made a film with his best friends… I don’t think he’d recognize me given all the facial hair, and also that theory that if you walked past yourself in public you wouldn’t even know it’s you, y’know? Anywho.
I can’t thank my family and the homies enough for their endless inspiration and unwavering belief. AMAT is a group movie in every sense, and I feel so fortunate that I got to learn from my friends. There’s no one I’d rather take that ride with, and I’d take it a thousand times over, reshoots and all.
