Rinspiration - getting in a river for inspiration. Tenderly yet radically held gathering by @paul.powlesland@moth_rights@robgmacfarlane exploring the rights and wrongs of the Roding and rivers yonder. Bearing witness to some of the most wonderful creatives speak about rivers while fatbergs floated past and grey mullet swam around sewage clouds. Thank you to the team who came together and made this such a gorgeous day. @betheearth.foundation@lydia__samuels@elena_landinez@schmelkes@anthonycpl593h
Follow us through the bluebells and stay until the moon is fullâŠwhat will you find?
Clearly, we have been having far too much fun to keep up with sharing all the things that have touched our hearts so far.
Somehow, we are already over halfway through, and time really does move differently when in deep presence with the land.
So we wanted to pause for a moment in gratitude for our wild and beautiful community! From human to feathered friends, from bees and blackthorn blossom to the listening trees themselves.
Here are a few tender, awe-filled moments and trust us, we still have SO much more to share.
We are now back at Strawberry Hill, and there are still a handful of tickets left for the remaining nights. If youâve been waiting to join, come to the final spots of the season đ
Magical night on Sunday around a campfire and then a night walk to listen to @les_itinerantes and @samleesong sing with Nightingales in a secluded Sussex wood.
A Nightingale sang happy birthday to @sirdavidattenborough and we had to sing along. Our gift to the great legend from one of the greatest singers on the planet. @singingwithnightingales
Living the questions with @samleesong đ
A powerful conversation with Sam Lee is now live on Patreon - a poignant reflection on song, land, belonging, and the reclamation of cultural heritage.
Sam also features in our latest documentary, âThe Remembrance of Ancestral Traditions and Animism in the Blessed Islesâ - now available on YouTube đ„đïž
Across both the interview and the film, he offers beautiful insight into traditional music as a living lineage, and the importance of reconnecting with - and reviving - the stories, landscapes, and practices rooted in the places we call home.
As host of âThe Nightingales Nestâ stage at Medicine, Sam continues to hold space for local traditions as living, evolving expressions of identity and community. Sam also hosts the interspecies concerts @singingwithnightingales in Sussex each spring reconnecting our indigenous music with these critically endangered birds
These conversations open vital dialogue around animism, ecology, cultural healing, and the sacred threads that weave together local and global wisdom traditions.

We still have tickets available!
đ« Our 2026 lineup and final batch of tickets are now live on our website, alongside additional experiences to book - including smaller ceremonies and sweat lodges.

Last night I experienced something I donât think Iâll ever forget.
Spending time with @samleesong , a dear friend, and his beautiful team through @singingwithnightingales felt like stepping into another world. Sam is one of those rare humans who carries so much knowledge so lightly. A master storyteller. The way he speaks about the nightingale and the natural world around us makes me realise how little I actually know.
We gathered around the fire, sharing songs with an intimate circle of 60 beautiful souls. Then we walked out into the forest in the dark, held by the moon, listening and waiting until we heard him.
The nightingale. đŠââŹ
We perched as close as we could and then Sam and I began to sing with him. Not over, not instead of. With.
It was wild. Delicate. Electric. Ancient.
The nightingale has been woven into our folk songs and stories for centuries. A tiny bird with one of the most complex and powerful songs in the natural world. They travel thousands of miles between the UK and Africa each year and yet their numbers are in serious decline. Habitat loss and climate shifts are pushing them closer to disappearing.
And yet, there we were. In direct relationship.
Projects like Singing with Nightingales matter deeply. They are not for profit, held together by passion, care and a real devotion to protecting something precious.
I promise you, it is one of the most magical things I have ever been part of and I highly recommend any of you to join one of these evenings. I believe it runs for an another few weeks until the Nightingale migrates to Africa.
Thank you Sam, my wonderful and inspiring friend, for the work you do and for creating spaces where this kind of connection is still possible.
Singing with you and with the nightingales is something I will carry for a long time.
To the nightingales, tiny and unseen, whose ancient song crosses continents to sing through the night, reminding us how to listen again as it sings a world back into being, asking only that we hear and protect you, thank you.
Thank you to all those that attended and support this incredible work. To find out more about these magical evenings, click on my linktree in my bio. â€ïž
