29th of May 2024.
10 years ago today I stepped into a tent at Pinewood Studios; saw a row of Stormtrooper costumes hanging up and realised the film I was fitting for was Star Wars.
I don't quite have the words or emotional bandwidth to express exactly how I'm feeling today. So I spent 17.5 hours yesterday making this video instead.
Thank you all for your unwavering love and support. I'm incredibly grateful.

In case you missed it, towards the very end of last year I announced the release of my limited edition 10 Year Anniversary Patches!

Unfortunately, at the time, I was too under the weather to have the party I'd planned or to organise any of the little treats I had in store.
So instead I decided to release a limited edition patch and raise some funds for some causes close to my heart.
Along with @alliance_gdb , I worked very hard to try and incorporate some of my (15) characters that mean a lot to me, as well as my beloved R2-KT 🩷

So as 'Star Wars Week' draws to an end, I wanted to share this post with you all.
It's actually taken me this long to even process the emotions and think of something to say that is befitting of Mario's words. When I read his post, I was completely floored. Like, no words. And I felt the love in my gut.
I love my job. And I love all the opportunities that it has afforded me. But I really wasn't prepared for the impact I would have on other human beings.

When this picture was taken, I can still feel the moment today – as clearly as if it were yesterday.
I arrived at the convention grounds, feeling a bit like I had stepped into another world. Still holding a can of wheat beer in my hand, I noticed the wide, almost disbelieving looks from others. The cosplayers were very precise and said it didn’t quite fit the image. But I couldn’t help but laugh and simply said:
“I just had a long, exhausting flight in my snowspeeder.” 🧡

I've been so busy 'Star Wars-ing' this weekend that I haven't had the time to prepare a fancy post!
So I'm reposting the video from my 10 year Star Wars anniversary in 2024 ❤️
I always try to be as real as possible so to be completely honest I'm absolutely exhausted and Diabetes never has a day off!
But I cannot let this day go by without commemorating it somehow. And I would be remiss if I didn't mention the impact Star Wars has had on my life.
From travelling the world, to meeting friends who have become family and even being the reason I met the love of my life, my beautiful husband @leonechap ❤️
It has also giving me some of the most joyous moments in my life by becoming the official Godmother to @r2ktofficial and being the surrogate Aunty/Tata to all of my beautiful St-ieces and St-ephews ❤️
Not to mention all of the incredible moments I've had on screen and being paid to basically have fun!
I'm so incredibly grateful to the universe and to Star Wars for changing my life in the most amazing way!

So, right now, I don't even know what day it is and also my brain is very confused with all of the different timezones involved. But what I do know is that I'm really, really, really late in wishing my Uncle, my Godfather and one of the most influential people in my life a very Happy 60th Birthday ❤️
I'm not sure you realise how much you have shaped me into the person that I am today.
From giving me my first acting role in your Superman movie you shot with your mates on Cine8 that we used to watch on the back of a door in Canning Town...
To buying me a pink Walkman and the Bros album and the Bobby Brown Ghostbusters soundtrack on cassette when I was diagnosed with Diabetes and was in hospital for 3 months.
Sitting on the stairs in Percy Road with a compass and a map teaching me to (N)ever (E)at (S)hredded (W)heat.
Then taking me to Epping Forest and showing me how to find my way home.
You have inadvertently taken me with you on all of your adventures. From Cranwell to Watton to Germany and Hitchin. Then even moreso to Dubai and beyond...
I've always said you're the black James Bond. And a lot of other people agree. But actually, James Bond has nothing on you ❤️
So, affectionately, the reason this message is so late is because I've just got home from the Star Wars party that I organised with my french husband in Vichy where we met because I'm an actress. So basically, it's all your fault 😜
