In March Samewave Radio turned a train car into a club for our 3rd annual 24 for 24 event. 24 DJs playing sets for 24 hours straight. As always it was an amazing night of community and music and we want to thank every single person who came out to support or tuned into the live stream.
Over the next few weeks we’ll be releasing the recorded sets from the talented selectors who provided the sounds that brought the event to life.

Introducing our final dj for the night, @ninety6vino . Now based in PDX, Vino grew up in Southern California surrounded by funk & grooves. Mentored by his father, he acquired the ear and knack for vinylism and crate digging at a young age.
Upon arriving to the PNW, he had difficulty finding a sense of community but soon connected with likeminded peoples thanks to local collectives. As one of the founders of USB Check, Vino now focuses his efforts on supporting spaces that foster community and center underground sounds. With a colorful taste in music, his influences contain a wide range of genres including Latin global and UK based sounds.

Introducing our second headliner of the night, @cquestt . Born and raised in Los Angeles, Cquestt has always been inspired by her city and the music that lives inside of it. First starting her career as a backup dancer, she toured the world and was introduced to music from all cultures which inspired her to bring new sounds back to LA! This sparked her career in DJing, combining her love for dance and music into one place. She’s gone on to perform at festivals such as Coachella, Flog Gnaw, LAC, and throwing her own parties Fried Plantains and Baile World with her DJ partner Dina. The goal is to transport audiences around the world: from Afrobeats and Dancehall all the way to Dembow and LA Hip Hop, a classic Cquestt set will touch all of our beloved genres and introduce you to your new favorite song!
