See you there!
I love what I do but it’s a lot of hard work. I want to keep trying to provide a space that feels accessible to folks, a space where people can feel what they need to feel, experience joy, escape from the world, form connections, a little pocket of safety & still try to balance that with the fact that I exist in a capitalist society & have to pay my bills 🤮
Thank you to everyone that has signed up for small group PT. I am excited to get started with you all next week.
There has been quite an amazing response to it so thank you 🙏🏼 I am looking at potentially adding an evening one on a Wednesday so will be asking for input from folks to gather an idea of demand.
I’m hoping, along with 1-1s, public classes, funded courses, the new small group PT will give another affordable way for people to engage in strength training & encourage more people into our little queer gym ❤️🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈💪🏼
Hi all, I have finally got my schedule sorted and I will be running small group PT on Tuesdays at 2.30pm & 5.30pm at Uplifted Titans.
Small group PT can be an affordable & accessible way to get more focused coaching allowing for progression, technique work and strength. 1-1 coaching can be expensive so I’ve opened up these slots for booking to offer an additional way for you to access my coaching.
Bookable through passworded link (DM if interested) and secured with payment in monthly blocks. This allows you to book a month at a time & gives flexibility if some months you’re more available than others.
It is limited to 4 people.

❤️Axle appreciation week ❤️
This week I will be celebrating all things axle in the gym. I love the axle bar with my whole heart. Ours is 35kg empty so it’s not always an accessible bar for newer lifters to press but there is so much more you can do with it.
Clients! I am aiming to feature the axle in some way in your programs this week if suitable and making sure it still fits with your goals.
I want everyone to love Axle as much as I do 🤣❤️💪🏼
@officialbethhart was amazing and it was so lovely to be there with the family 🥰
We got trapped in the NCP car park for over an hour afterwards but the gig was amazing 😅 Imagine a car full of of neurodivergent people with no control over a stressful situation that wasn’t planned and involved being stuck…
Loved every moment of that performance, what a voice.
Changed my wee running route a little bit, I’m getting brave, still finished on my fave old golfie though.
The trees were helping my soul this morning while my brain is obsessing over the election.
I went to my first ever music festival 27 years ago when I was a wee kid, chaperoned by my dad. I went to that 3 day festival just for Mel C to see her play 6 songs promoting the start of her solo career (everyone else was a bonus).
I got the worst food poisoning I’ve ever had, both ends (in a tent 😳) no control, was so sick my dad had to drive me home for an emergency appointment. BUT I loved her so much I made him drive me back and sheer will power got me through that 6 song set without shitting myself and spewing everywhere 😂
She is so amazing, I love her and this was so great. Everyone should go see her in October and everyone should buy her new album, it’s full of club bangers.
And of course I cried a bit. Standard.
I’ve started running again after at least 8 years away. Something I feel like I say to clients a lot (specially my hyper mobile babes) “Just because you can doesn’t mean you should”.
I’m applying this to running. Years ago the first sport I ever engaged with as an adult was running. Then I snapped a ligament in my foot and found lifting.
I have built muscle mass over the years but my main goal since taking a break from competitions has been overall health, strength and building a strong body as it goes through the different stages of life.
Just because I CAN jump in and run 5k doesn’t mean I SHOULD. I haven’t run consistently for about 8 years, I train very differently now so I am easing in & building up slowly, enjoying the pace, avoiding injury, respecting that my body is older.
One thing that has never changed is the impact on my mental health, running even in short bursts, has always helped me keep a clear head. This kind of movement doesn’t feel accessible to everyone and isn’t accessible to everyone but I am privileged to be able to add it into my week and I am feeling the benefits mentally.
Just taking a moment to say thank you. Thank you to everyone who trains with us you make this unit so special. Whether you come to Queer Strong Saturdays, Uplifted courses, Leap Sports courses or 1-1 sessions with our coaches, we love you and are grateful that you choose to support us and what we do.
In such hard times we hope to keep providing a space for people to train, socialise, talk, feel & be celebrated for exactly who they are and accepted wherever they are at.
Our community is top tier ❤️💪🏼🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
