Hi all - as many of you know by now I am working to assist a family in need. A young couple with two kids who are working to rebuild their lives in Chicago after fleeing their home. They are in dire need of rental assistance for this upcoming month. (Thanks to all who have donated and assisted thus far!) Our goal is to reach $1000 by the 1st so the family can secure their stay for the next month. Outside of financial assistance other mutual aid assistance is needed. The family could really benefit from other volunteers in the Chicago area who could help with driving needs, helping the parents find work, and working to secure access to other resources that could be of benefit to them. I am hoping to build a team of sorts to more effectively assist the family in a way that allows them more long term stability. Just wanted to take a moment to recognize how lucky I am to continue to spend time with this amazing being as she continues to embrace her journey of life in the midst of her 13th year. She has been one of the few constants in my life from the time I was a young child until now. She is a representation of the power and beauty in unconditional love, emotional support, selflessness, family, friendship, the fragility of life and living in the moment with focus on the true beauty in this world, much of which we often tend to overlook as humans. An epically heroic spirit and little pooch sister. ❤️ P.S. Huge shout out to my mom @robinsubarphoto who never ceases to give her nothing but the best care and mama love.
Happy birthday to my truly one of a kind mom. A constant source of love, light, strength and inspiration in my life and in so many others’. We love you so so very much. (Lilah obviously included as evident by this photo). ❤️
