Thank you everyone who stopped by my booth today and yesterday @dupont_circle_main_streets Cherry Blossom Popup Market. I saw so many people giggling at my new rat stickers where I turned my trauma into art. A couple showed me a photo where they posed at the National Gallery of Art, recreating the image from one of my panda drawings. A fan showed me their bedroom wall, covered with my postcards. Another customer nearly burst into tears when sighting my panda cards for the first time because “they’re so cuuuute”. And I met so many more followers who shared the personal ways they’re enjoying and sharing my work and supporting a local artist. Just so many genuine and precious interactions leaving me with countless special memories. It drives me to draw.
I often feel defeated when AI generates an image with prompts while I spend hours and hours on my drawings. But it warms my heart and motivates me when I hear from you how much you appreciate real, quality creativity.
Thank you for your encouragement and all the ideas. Can’t wait to bring more art (and pandas and rats hehe).
