It is with a heavy heart that the partners of DABSS Adventures have decided to officially cancel the event, Matat2Pont.
Unfortunately, the economic downturn in our country has led to difficulty in procuring entrants and payments timeously and with the increased cost to host said event year on
year, it is not financially viable to host the event going forward whilst trying to remain affordable to entrants. A 3-day event of this magnitude sports a cumbersome price tag.
As a partnership we have enjoyed building a unique event traversing the countryside from the Eastern Cape, starting at an altitude of 2300m and crossing over into Kwa-Zulu Natal;
with the finish at The Pont, at an altitude of 34m. Not forgetting the amazing bridge crossing over the Umtamvuna River!
Unforgettable memories and friendships have been made over the past 10 years.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our entrants, supporters, sponsors, vendors and staff; whom without, our previous years would never have been possible or a success.
We wish you many happy, exhilarating and safe kilometres of trails on your dirt bikes.
