People in dancehall know exactly what I’m talking about. But everyone outside — for example in Croatia — they know about me, but they only see me as a dancehall dancer.
They don’t see the richness of what dancehall actually is.
And what makes it so special? Hundreds of creators, every single one with their own unique style, their own moves.
If you've been wanting to go deeper into movement foundations — I made a free 4-part training that covers exactly how I train and teach dancehall. It can be applied to any dance style. 🤍

Which one is your favorite? Did you know that dancehall has 1000s of dance moves — even if you practice it seriously, there's a chance you wont know them all 👀
this is one my technique exercises for the beginner group ✨ (if you’re not a beginner, you will benefit even more)
moving slow requires you to extend the movements — which in turn makes you softer, juicier, and makes it easier to dance fast too without losing movement quality
here’s the task:
- pick a slow song
- pick a couple of simple moves
- dance one move on a 4 or 8 count
- you’re not allowed to finish the move before the count finished
- speed it up, but focus on not cutting the movements short!
or just copy this exercise 🤌🏼

You see people doing the thing you admire and wanna try but when the opportunity comes, you don't feel ready?
When Demarco said who's coming to the stage, there was no doubt for one second. I left my phone, money and drinks right there at some table and RAN to the stage.
It was natural. But the truth is, I was ready for that moment, I'm dancing almost every day for years.
Staying ready and grabbing the opportunity in the moment is so much easier then finding the opportunity in the future and then pushing yourself to be ready for it. I feel like it creates unnecessary pressure and expectations.
