BIG NEWS: We decided to cut our mast in half!
It’s been a very tough decision, but with all that extra space in the cockpit we can finally turn Uma into a ketch and use part of the mast to build the mizzen mast (More info on our next Youtube episode this Sunday)

This deck collar was underbuilt, poorly attached, and waiting to fail, so it’s gone.

Well the Plumbing phase took WAY longer than we wanted.
So here is a simple 10 step program to make sure you always stay on track:
Step 1: design a system…
Step 2: order the needed parts…
Step 3: work on other things while those parts are back ordered because you are on an Italian island and things just take FOREVER to arrive…
Step 4: the parts finally arrive but by then, you’ve already redesigned the whole system so you order new parts…
Step 5: build the new system only to realise that those parts that were supposed to get the job done are NOT as advertised….
Step 6: go crazy and spend another week researching and redesigning the entire system…
Step 7: order a bunch of similar parts from different brands
Step 8: spend a month waiting for that shipment…
Step 9: test them all to ensure which one is right…
Step 10: finally, FINALLY get to install something you are happy with!
