We are so excited to announce Mark Foster, a Los Angeles–based composer, multi-instrumentalist, producer, and the frontman of Foster the People, as our 2026 GIG Award recipient!
Mark rose to global prominence with the Grammy-nominated debut album Torches, featuring the hit single “Pumped Up Kicks.” As the band’s primary songwriter, his work blends infectious pop melodies with deeper themes of hope, duality, and the human condition.
Beyond music, he is deeply involved in humanitarian work, partnering with organizations like Water.org and buildOn to support access to clean water and education. He has participated in initiatives like climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to raise awareness for the global water crisis and has helped fund and build schools in underserved communities around the world.
We are honored to celebrate his impact both on and off the stage next Saturday, May 16th!
