What if the future is shaped not just by technology, but by the stories we tell about it?
On the latest episode of The Skapa Podcast: Creating the Future, host Michael Brasseur is joined by August Cole, co-author of Ghost Fleet and co-founder of Useful Fiction, to explore how narrative is becoming a powerful tool in defense, strategy, and innovation.
What organizations imagine about the future shapes what they build. At Saab, we see this firsthand: thinking differently, challenging assumptions, and connecting strategy to execution is how capability becomes reality.

Modernizing surface movement radar is essential to maintaining safe and efficient airport operations. Saab is continuing its longstanding relationship with the FAA and enhancing airport situational awareness by replacing surface movement radars (SMRs) with updated systems at 44 of the busiest U.S. airports.
At Saab, we are honored to highlight the legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen – the first units of Black pilots in the U.S. Army Air Corps and one of the most decorated pilot groups during World War II. The T-7A Red Hawk, a partnership between Saab and Boeing, is named as a tribute to those warfighters and pays homage to their signature red-tailed aircraft.
