VERSPROCHENE CHANCE - der Abschluß der Versprechen, Versprechen - Reihe - von der wunderbaren @ryecoxauthor hat mich komplett überrascht.
Die Geschichte schafft es, emotionale Tiefe, Spannung und starke Charaktere so miteinander zu verbinden, dass man das Buch kaum aus der Hand legen möchte und entführt uns erneut in eine charmante Kleinstadt, in der neugierige Nachbarn, enge Freundschaften und familiäre Verbindungen das Geschehen prägen.
Besonders die Dynamik zwischen Atlas und Hector wirkt intensiv, authentisch und nie künstlich dramatisch.
Der Schreibstil von Rye Cox liest sich flüssig, modern und bildhaft. Gefühle, Konflikte und die kleinen Zwischentöne kommen stark rüber, ohne kitschig zu werden. Gerade die emotionalen Szenen bleiben lange im Kopf. Gleichzeitig sorgt die Handlung dafür, dass ständig etwas passiert und keine Längen entstehen.
Fazit:
Insgesamt handelt es sich um einen überzeugenden Abschluss mit viel Tiefgang, der durch starke Charaktere und eine dichte Atmosphäre punktet. Für Fans der Reihe ist dieses Buch definitiv lesenswert.
