Chance shares Anthony’s fervent love for 80s music and the moment he walks into Devil Records on his first day of work and locks eyes with Anthony, Chance is certain of one thing—he must have him.

Shadows Never Leave - Lark Taylor

I just knew without a doubt that the final conclusion of this duet was going to be epic and it certainly did not disappoint me at all.
This book was absolutely perfect. From the groveling of Max and Dominic, it was an amazing read. The groveling and the apology from Max to Ryan was beautiful. Sometimes when you read about a rivalry, you don’t get the whole story or even the whole not apologizing, so I was here for it.
These two were so stubborn but gosh, they were beautiful. Dominic loved Ryan so much and he showed him every moment. When he got sick, I was in my emotions because even when he sent a message to Kate, Dominic was the one to really show up whenever it counted.
Ryan finally wakes up the moment Dominic comes back in his life and it’s just so beautiful to see these two come together after being apart for so any years.
Dominic is definitely my favorite of the two because the things he does he does for Ryan - his Shadow. Those letters broke my heart but this shows how hard he loves and what kind of future he wants.
Xander - can we just talk about him? He Is the bestest of best friends that I’ve read. The protectiveness that you see how he is with Ryan is beautiful. When he punched Dominic, it was good but man, when Max got it, not once but twice, it was perfection. Although, that first punch he got had me laughing because he was like “I’ll take that for you”
This final duet had such beautiful moments from the letters to the tattoos and the cabin scenes were so beautiful. Also, the way that Ryan helped Frank from being an awful father was beautiful and just the relationship he built with Frank was heartwarming. I just loved that Frank finally became the father Dominic needed and that porch scene had me giggling.
What I really loved was how Dominic told him to go for his dreams.
I also need to read the books featuring Caffeine Daydreams because I need more!
I received a copy of this book and this is my honest review.

I am so glad that I started this duet when books were available because I just KNEW I was going to want to read the next book immediately. Even though the MC’s are in college, I was here for every moment with these two. I wanted more as the story went on. When it comes to Lark, this author here just knows how to pull you into this amazing world.
Ryan and Dominic are everything for me when it comes to how full my heart is for these two. I love these two so much and man, they’ve been through so much.
Max - can I just strangle this man because how he treated his twin brother was ridiculous? What did Ryan ever do to Max to get the hatred from him? I really hopes he grovels at his brother’s feet in the second book.
Dominic has definitely gone through his own pain with his douche of his dad. His story is so heartbreaking and I cannot wait to see how he earns Ryan’s forgiveness because I know without a doubt that he is going to have to work for his devotion and forgiveness.
I will say one of my favorite parts of this book was when Ryan goes to Dominic’s dad and pretty much tells him what a horrible father he was.
Amazing book!

When I started this book, I completely went in blind. I didn’t even know what it was about. I feel like those are the best books that really capture you because man, this book alone surprised me at every turn that I was not expecting.
I will say to please read the trigger warnings because your mental health is very important. Even though some parts weren’t too much, I still recommend taking care of yourself.
Theo and Bailey had my heart from beginning to end. What Bailey went through was rough and I knew without a doubt this man was stronger than he let on. The things that he went through just made me want to coddle him so nothing harmful could ever touch him.
I don’t want to give too much away but man, Bailey’s home was so toxic that I’m surprised how strong he came on top. When Shane finds him, I was crawling in my skin because all I could think of was “not again, hasn’t he been through enough?” I never knew I needed a HEA until these two got what they deserved.
When Theo found out what happened, ugh, my heart broke for him because he had no idea! Jesus…. My god. My heart broke for these two so much, especially their time apart. If anyone deserves a life full of joy and happiness, it’s these two.
If you want a story that keeps you on your toes and surprises you with every turn of the page, read this book because wow… just wow! I cannot wait to read the next book because yep, I’m all in for this series.
