Excited to get @ales_hrebesky_memorial 2026 underway with a pre-tournament scrimmage against the Nanaimo Timbermen! Looking forward to some great lacrosse over the next few days.
We have Masters level box lacrosse in New England!
Last night was the first ONELL-Sanctioned box game, between @townieslacrosseclub and @orcas_lax . This spring session runs for 6 more weeks, Thursdays nights in Taunton. We're getting things started here and then going bigger in the fall with more teams and locations. Let me or captains @gdewire or @razzy1036 know if you're interested. Would love to have a group twice this size on our last night.

Would like to thank @senecamarksmen for the good reminder of why I should only be playing Masters and not messing around with these semifinalists at LAXNAI.
Final wrap on another great LAXNAI. It was a quick, but busy few days in Utica, reconnecting with friends from all over.
This year, our open team had the best ever finish for the Moon Bears, ending at 16th out of 40 teams.
For Masters, we had a massive improvement, but fell short in the finals against Onondaga, finishing 2nd.
And somehow I'm still able to walk after playing a full 9 teams across both divisions.
This past weekend marked the official close to the summer lacrosse season. While the trophy haul was lighter than desired, it was still a great few months of playing lacrosse with friends!
Pictured:
- Boston Nor'easters: New England NABLL champs, lost on national quarterfinals to #2 team
- Dirty Old Birds: Lake Placid 35+ 6th place
- True North Townies 40+: Silver quarterfinal loss to silver champs
- True North Townies 30+: Silver semifinal loss
Next up: LAXNAI in Utica in September and plenty of winter lacrosse!
Thanks to @oconnorwilson for another chance to play in this awesome place. Limped my way through a few games with the Birds and Tru North. Really dialed back things from last year's marathon of a weekend, and had a great time hanging out with teammates after the games. Getting back to what this tournament is all about. Till next year!
I take pride in my defense. One key aspect is not being afraid of the ball and being willing putting my body on the line to step in front of shots.
At least that's what goes on in my head. Apparently when in front of @codylaforme , this happens.
Let’s be honest, without @ryconw the Moon Bears Lacrosse Commune would not be a thing. The Moon would have no representation and oh so many friendships would not even exist. But they do. Because of him. Ryan is our captain, our friend, our inspiration to breathe. Let’s hear it for this boy! (This post was not written by Ryan, he’s far too humble) if you don’t shoot this man out you’re the bad kind of communist… you know the ones.
