It wouldn’t be a tour without a stop at the ol’ Cracker Barrel. Snake got “Momma’s Pancake Breakfast” and I got the “Old Timer”. When he asked the waitress for some napkins I said don’t worry there’s a shitload right here. The waitress said “excuse me what did you say?” I thought I was being reprimanded for cussing in a family establishment, but she said “no his nickname, I like that, Shitload” and we all lost it at the table. So from now on Snake is Shitload (at least at Cracker Barrel). The heavy metal community came thru yesterday reminding us that we can still rely on good people in these times of insanity. My two 1979 lefty Guild B302 basses got left at the venue in Little Rock, lost in the shuffle on the first day of tour. We were unaware until we unloaded in St. Louis the next day. On the fly, I called my new friend @thelanatic who had been videoing the gig the previous nite. Lane and his wife Tracey drove 6 hours to deliver my basses without batting an eye. I covered all their expenses and more as those instruments are irreplaceable, prized heirlooms to me. I still didn’t have a lefty bass for the gig in STL but my pal @garrettenloe9 came thru with a new lefty sunburst G&L to save the day, which he bought and returned on the spot. For the first time in BAT history our guitars matched color on stage. Thanks to @deadbirddoom for helping out, plus Samantha and Chris @revroomlr for tracking it down.
