Sensual World remain one of my favorite Richmond bands of recent memory and it was great to see them again after too long a hiatus. Their songs have this rich, dense, and utterly luscious quality to them which echoes of equal parts Wipers and the dreamy pop of Ride or Slowdive. Just excellent.

This pop-up exhibition showcases the collection of Pizzini Show Print - the 186-year-old Richmond letterpress collection that we received as a donation in 2025.
For the last year, Studio Two Three staff and members have dedicated over 2,000 hours (!!!) to cleaning, organizing, cataloging and printing this collection of type and imagery.
We’ve pulled together a fun show of type, imagery, and prints that provides a glimpse into this treasure of a collection and the fascinating story we are beginning to piece together.
We want to extend a special shout out to Zachary Montgomery (@zvchs ), a longtime Studio Two Three intern who has poured his heart (and lots of elbow grease) into organizing the show.
Suminagashi (“floating ink”) originated in Japan and is the oldest form of marbling, a decorative paper technique. I’m teaching a workshop @studiotwothree on May 30 on the history and process of this beautiful, dynamic art form. Open to all skill levels. Visit their website to sign up!
