An untitled final project for my “Light Art” class at LMU, taught by the amazing @msgphoto My professor revealed an unconscious gravitation I held towards sharp edge lighting and motion blur. I was surprised at his accuracy and decided to overindulge in these tastes, having an ungodly amount of fun in the process, for my last project in class and at LMU. I photographed five models, five close friends, attempting to compliment each of their unique beauties with this style. For the motion blurred images, I instructed my subjects to let out whatever raw emotions had been festering until the moment they sat to be photographed. I was deeply satisfied with the results, their painterly-like effect, and the hint of realism realized by distinct edge lighting. I’m excited to share these moments. Recent passion project I shot of the Yaspis FW 24/25 collection I was captivated by this collection’s bold and experimental silhouettes since first seeing them in the Good News Only showroom this past summer. Determined to compliment these stand-out designs, I chose to shoot on Ferrania P30, a film stock known to produce high-contrast images with inky-black shadows and silky-white highlights. The look fit perfectly with the theme of winter nostalgia that inspired the collection, and I’m ecstatic to finally share this with you. Thank you to my talented crew for their work, Good News Only Agency for generously loaning these pieces, and Bond Creative Management for allowing us to shoot in their state-of-the-art studio. Thank you Shayan for being my close collaborator on this passion project from our first conversation at the bar to the last shot on set.  And thank you to my girlfriend for being beautiful and agreeing to stand in front of my camera, again, for many hours.
