Well 😂 🤦🏼‍♂️ say hello to my new project. Fresh as fresh Japan import 98 spec tyre r rolling shell. This thing is so clean underneath. This will be a long project with the plans for a mega race shell build and this one’s the perfect candidate for it with no rust underneath at all 😁. Complete strip down next then onto a rotisserie 🏎️

Well 😂 what an event 🤦🏼‍♂️. Blow out on trailer tyre and a spare with a puncture so rush to get that sorted. Get to coombe and greeted by the convoy of the rx8 owners club doing slow things all day and not letting me pass them fantastic cheers👍🏻😂. Finally get a few clear laps in and set a new pb result 🫶🏻. Then a major poo pants moment 💩128mph over Avon rise- hit the brakes in quary as I normally do but then there’s a what I thought was a stone hitting the underside - nope a bolt had come out of the throttle body making the car stick at 3000 rpm whilst braking heavily to make the corner. Showers all afternoon with no signs of the track drying so by 3 I decided to call it a day and take my new pb and go home 😂

Goodwood very good very nice very joyful. A more chilled out and fun day upsetting the Porsches and bmw m2-4s. Thanks @joeerudd @jcm987 @garage47.racing for coming down for a good chat and the videos 🫶🏻. Car was rapido 🏎️

The last piece of the fuel system upgrades. Hybrid Racing fuel rail and pressure regulator. There regulator uses a piston type design as opposed to the traditional diaphragm style that eventually can fail and leak like my old AEM one did multiple times. Also it’s amazing at keeping fuel pressure consistent and not bouncing about like most regulators do under load. This with the new fuel pumps and swirl pot should really help keep everything under control 😁👌🏻 #supercharged #rotrex #torquegtparts #4pistonracing

2 L swirl pot with a Bosch 044 pump. Cheap simple and effective and no leaks or fire🔥 😂

A massive thank you and credit to where it’s due to @cartekmotorsport . They have gone above and beyond to help me with a minor issue to resolve my wipers not self parking to the extent of them out of there good will to purchase a dc2 wiper motor for themselves to test and make me a small neat bit of circuitry to resolve my issue all free of charge. And to give me a tour of there facility and to show me there awesome fn2 endurance car 😁 these guys love there Hondas and there customer service is outstanding 👏🏻. My Interior is almost complete and imo looking amazing. Waiting on some awesome stuff coming for the exterior and then hopefully testing early next year 😁 I can’t wait to get back out in this car

Apart from tidying up a few small ends, I’m so happy to say I have almost finished the COMPLETE front to back car rewire. Utilising the @versatile_wiring Engine race harness and @cartekmotorsport PDP and battery isolator. Really happy how it’s turning out and amazed by how much cleaner and simpler the whole wiring system is now by removing so many unnecessary wiring circuits. No more hidden birds nest under the dash 😂. Starting to get some proper touring Car vibes with the switch panel 😁

A busy two Saturdays sorting some issues. First off sorting a crunching 5th gear found at Thruxton last. I found an issue with the synchro ring so I decided to change the hub slider whilst I was there and fit a carbon synchro instead as they seem to perform better with the gear x gears. Typically it was the only one I didn’t change last time the box was out as it was new when one day motorsport built the box. Lesson learned. Good job I took the box out as I found a broken sump pan stud had been for a ride inside the bell housing 😂. Next was repairing a broken rotrex charger bracket. All welded back together but now with a gusset plate added to make it more robust. Lastly new sump pan bolts that turned into me deciding a whilst I’m there I might as well change the rod shells as my oil pressure when HOT on idle was very low 18psi 😬. Good job I did as I caught cylinder 1 just in time before it scored the crank. The rest of the rod shells and crank look mint 👌🏻. 4piston had mixed each rod journal with one half std and the other half std X-extra oil clearance so I have copied exactly that with the same make bearings just to be safe

Thruxton again today. First time on direzzas. Verdict great once they have some heat in them. Great feedback and consistent 👌🏻 plus two wheeling looks cool 😂

August coombe and Thruxton. Not having been in the car for a few months due to having major hip surgery coombe was a bit of a disappointment for me physically and mentally and I really struggled with the heat that day not just in myself but with the Tyres and Engine temperatures were all too high and as a result I didn’t get the lap times I was expecting with the new aero upgrades. But still, I did have good fun battling with a Porsche GT3. Fast forward a week to Thruxton and that was a complete night and day difference. The car felt absolutely amazing and planted around there with the new upgrades and the new AP brakes were phenomenal. Also in myself I was on absolute fire and set a new personal best shaving off four seconds from my previous lap times there 🔥 welcome to the Thruxton mid 20s club
