Watching this solar substorm pulse the aurora above my head at 1am in the arctic circle was nothing shy of a miracle. Chasing aurora and scenic vistas on this Lofoten Islands trip has tested my patience and endurance, but it’s moments like this that make the sleep deprivation worth every second of effort and intense arctic temps. Overhead, myself, @jonhuynh1 , and @ryanpramos watched this aurora build as our timelapse cameras rolled.

Thankful to be a part of the @risela2025 group of LA photographers who are showcasing their work for a great cause. Each artist is donating a print to be auctioned where 100% of the proceeds will go to the victims of the recent fires.
If I could donate all of my images I would but only the first of this set will be donated. The second image was taken with my friend @jonhuynh1 from a hillside sunrise next to the Palisades. And finally the last few shared images are recent photos of the city I love and was born and raised in.
Please join us this Friday the 14th or Saturday the 15th from 4-9pm for a special event at the @elysiumdtla penthouse / rooftop space in DTLA. There will be food, drinks, giveaways and live music.
