Well a little late but my ski season wrapped up last weekend. An interesting winter indeed! Easily the worst snow year Iāve seen in Rossland in my 11 years of living here. Despite the lack of snow, there were still countless memorable moments. Iām so stoked on
@teamgiver and the growth and progression from our athletes. The 3rd year of the Freeride Club and to see the kids growing up every year and continuing to dedicate themselves on getting better - itās truly been amazing to be a part of. Welcoming new athletes to the team. Watching the athletes training pay off and absolutely sending it on big comp venues. Landing tricks for the first time. Pumping each other up, supporting each other through the ups and downs. It was all awesome to witness. And it didnāt matter if the snow conditions were bullet proof, or 5 degrees and slushy, they showed up and we made the most of every day! A good life lesson for all.
Another highlight was being a part of the BC Winter Games coming to life at
@redresort and working with
@freestylebc to make it happen. Photo 3 is crazy!
@freeskian was my coach 20 years ago on the park & pipe team
@bluemtnresort , and my favourite coach to this day. Now reunited over the same passion, with Ian serving on the board for FBC and having FBC as our governing body for Team GIVEāR. Truly a full circle moment.
Although our two hut trips sadly got cancelled, Chels and I and friends still had some great days in the backcountry. Seeing how much Lynx loves the snow and ripping behind us is pretty awesome. Heās a Powderhound indeed!
Some great coaching courses in the mix, certainly learned a lot and met some rad people. Also just a huge thanks to our coaching team, you all are absolute beauties!
Being in this industry so long you realize how many amazing folks are a part of it. It is truly a blessing and I wouldnāt change it for anything.
See you next year! š¤ #GIVER4Kenneth
