CASSIE AND I MADE A BOOK! Meet Norm, the Not-So-Normal Alligator. He’s a vegetarian gator with a big heart who just wants to belong. Misunderstood, a little different, and trying to live his best life in NYC. This book has been more than 15 years in the making. Norm has lived in our imaginations for over a decade, waiting for the right moment to step into the world. This past spring, thanks to the gift of a sabbatical, we finally had the time to make him real. Written by my wonderful wife Cassie (@cassiefeerer )and illustrated by me, this was one of the most meaningful collaborations of my life. Creating Norm together reminded me just how powerful (and fun) it can be to bring a dream to life as a team. Norm’s story is about kindness, friendship, and what it means to embrace the things that make us different. It’s a reminder that being “not-so-normal” is actually pretty wonderful. We’re beginning to share his world while reaching out to literary agents who can help us get Norm into the hands of kids and families everywhere. Follow Norm @normeatsplants Please share with anyone who might love him too! This is a dream we’ve carried for so long, and we’re excited, hopeful, and grateful to have your support as Norm takes his first steps into the world. 🐊💚 #childrensbooks #picturebook #kidlit #childrensbookillustration #illustratedbook #authorsofinstagram #writersofinstagram #illustratorsofinstagram #publishingjourney #debutauthor #normeatsplants

BIG STAMP RELEASE DAY! I’m so honored to have another stamp (YES!) releasing today alongside some incredibly talented people. Opportunities like this do not come along often, and I am incredibly thankful to @gregbreedingdesign … He is simply the best and most encouraging person to work for. A big thank you to everyone involved in this project behind the scenes that worked hard to make this happen. I look at all of the stamps created and I’m just in awe with how beautiful and unique they are. Congratulations to all of you amazing artists listed below! BONUS: You’re all my friends now, whether you want me to be or not. I couldn’t be more thrilled to have work alongside all of you. I am so honored! SUPER BONUS: Jeff Rogers has been one of my best buds for a long time. I can’t express how special it is to have done this together. Check out the link in my bio to purchase some of these bad boys.

I’m so honored and excited to show you all the most significant thing I’ve ever made (aside from my kids). I tried to cram in a ton of western elements, have the right amount of grit, and represent western wear with authenticity and every ounce of talent I had in me. I was obsessed with creating these. Every little detail. Every little dot. I’m sure @cassiefeerer thought I was going mad. There were many variations. So many long days and late nights… and I loved every second of it. My grandfather was a postmaster in New Mexico for around 23 years and did his fair share of ranching. Although he’s no longer with us, I know he would’ve been so proud. That just makes these little stamps so much more meaningful. It has been nearly three years since @gregbreedingdesign reached out to me about working on these stamps. Greg, I cannot thank you enough for this opportunity. It means more than you’ll ever know. You were the absolute best to work with, friend. You can now preorder these bad boys. I hope you consider buying a book or twenty. I have a link in the bio! Oh! And the first day of issue will be here in Abilene on July 23rd!!! So cool! #stamps #usps #illustration #westernwear #dreamproject #wildwest

I did some illustrations for the wonderful people @doubledranch a while back. I didn’t realize the line had dropped and now it’s sold out! Really fun seeing how they designed these items. Beautifully done, friends!

Floooooridaaaa! I lived in Florida for about seven years and it holds a special place in his heart. The beach, wildlife, and the memory of a less stressful life. We tried to make a shirt that captures that feeling. Dropping soonish @fieldschoolbrand
