I’ve been a father for 15 years. I’m not going to pretend I’ve always known what I was doing and despite being human and inherently flawed, this has been the one thing I’ve done with every ounce of my being. I’m short on the words to articulate how much these girls mean to me and just how lucky I am to be their Dad, so I’ll just say that nothing compares to feeling of loving these girls, and being there for all the ups and downs and growth and learning these special girls experience. Kennedy, Adelaide, and Daisy… thank you for being exactly who you are and loving me the way you do. For me, today is about them. Happy Father’s day to all of the dad’s out there, especially my dad David who has always been such a rock solid example of unconditional love and support. This year was a grind but absolutely perfect and rewarding in so many ways. I got engaged to an amazing woman @bbydes_ started a new career at 40, and shared so many amazing times with friends and family. For those of you who did… thank you for rocking with me! 2024 is looking bright!
2023 has already been one of the best years for me in recent memory. On February 19th I turned 40 years old. The following week I accepted a job offer. Finally…Today, after months of studying, passing my state licensing exam, and submitting various documents and information, I was granted my state Mortgage Loan Originator license. 9 months ago I had no idea I would be looking at a career change as I was approaching 40, let alone deciding to go after something so far outside of what I spent the past decade doing. There were a lot of times along the way I wasn’t sure I was going to be able to pull it off, but with a lot of hard work and a ton of support and encouragement from friends and family I did it. This is probably the biggest accomplishment I’ve had so far in life from a professional stand point. I’m proud of myself and very thankful for all of you that supported me along the way. A lot of people aren’t familiar with what a Loan Originator does. In simplest terms…. I help people secure the financing they need to purchase a home/refinance an existing home/or renovate. If you’re thinking about buying a home this year, I’m here to help… it’s a lot easier than you think so don’t hesitate to reach out. I can help every step of the way.
Today I’m officially the father of a teenager. I’m usually a man of many words but today I’m sort of at a loss. All I can say is being Kennedy’s father has been one of the greatest things to ever happen to me. She is sweet, sensitive, hilarious, smart, and kind. Happy Birthday Kennedy, I love you more than I could ever express in words.
