Rewind to 2016
Two jobs defined that season of my life. One was an exciting career at Hulu. The other was being a first-year entrepreneur. @neurogum was just one year old, and Kent and I were obsessed with a simple idea: changing the way people consumed supplements.
Big dreams and no guarantees. I still remember submitting our very first Shark Tank application - security badges weren’t even real yet, just a handwritten sticky note with my buddy David from Sony.
Beyond work, 2016 was about learning who I was. Navigating love, friendships, ambition, and balance. Looking back, it’s impossible not to smile at how scrappy, hopeful, and full of belief that year was.
So grateful for the memories and the people who were part of that chapter.
If I could tell myself one thing: enjoy the journey because everything finds its way in the end.
🏆 We’re officially EY’s Entrepreneur of the Year SOPAC winners!
Eight years ago, our friend brought @ryan.ryc and I - just two scrappy, wide-eyed founders trying to figure this whole entrepreneurship stuff out - as guests to the coveted @ey_us show. We were surrounded by leaders in different industries and saw what we could aim for.
Last week, we accepted one of the biggest honors of our journey at that very same show.
Entrepreneurship is a never-ending climb but moments like this remind us how far we’ve come… and how much further we’re ready to go.
Next stop: Nationals 🇺🇸

In 2015, @kentaro and @ryan.ryc , our two co-founders, went on their first dive trip as certified PADI Divers in Catalina, where the idea for Neuro was born. Now, 9 years later, we have the opportunity to partner with @paditv on a series of custom limited edition reusable tins to support their mission through PADI AWARE Foundation™, @padiaware . As the year comes to a close I have so much to be grateful for in 2022. Reminding myself to enjoy the process. Sometimes the long days and occasional losses give way for appreciating the little things that much more. “I wish there was a way to know you were in the good old days before you actually left them” ☺️
I spent over 160 days on the road - the most I’ve ever traveled in a single year.
Those days let me witness friends get married and start their next chapters together.
Those days let me get my pilots license at Purdue university - achieving a lifelong dream to be able to fly.
Those days let us take Neuro to the next level and get a strategic investment and partnership from a Fortune 100 company. We are going global !
It was a lot of red eye flights, nomading in new cities and crashing on old friend’s couches all while making new memories.
Dear 2023, I want to continue to get better and spend even more time with those that mean so much to me.
