Continuing my shoegazy kick with my Circuit bent DS-1 self-oscillating into a Korg Miku Stomp (thanks to @owenwrobinson for letting me borrow🥹). Also used the DS-1 for the distorted guitars on this.
The Miku is often regarded as a niche novelty pedal and I don’t entirely disagree but there is potential there to push it beyond its toy-like quality into usable territory. The guitar lead on this almost sounds like a bagpipe to me. Pretty rad.

Today we have a total banger of a pre-amp/compression pedal by my good friends over at @audiocultivationproject
This is the PALA - all guitars and bass ran through this thing DI so all you are hearing are the instruments and the pedal (and an irresistible beat & heart throb vocals).
This thing works great on its own, can be a subtle “always on” pedal on the board, can add life to modelers and can also get into some pretty trashy.

Back at it with the Total Trash by @vaderinpedals - their take on the mic preamp of the now legendarily gnarly Realistic Electronic Reverb unit.
I’m loving how massive this thing makes my Jazzmaster sound.
Name aside, the tone may be “trash-y” but it certainly ain’t 🗑️. All I’m using for fuzz/distortion here is the pedal, which is used on all guitars and bass. The lead has some @denise.audio Perfect Room added in post to really space it out.

This is another song that originated as a pedal demo. I highlight a lot of guitar pedals on this page but my goal is always to explore whatever a piece of gear inspires in me sonically and brings out in my playing and songwriting.
In this case @templodevices was kind enough to send me their Reel Dealuxe (even after the first one got lost in customs 😭) and I really connected with it and the ideas it brought out of me, to the point where I knew I just had to commit and write a whole track around it. As a result, that thing is all over this recording along with @xlnaudio Addictive Drums 2 which is a whole other well of inspiration.

The @vaderinpedals Laser 1 takes the frequencies of your guitar signal and folds them into mangled metallic chaos not unlike the rear bumper of a Ford Fiesta that I gently backed into in a parking lot once allegedly.
The results range from a tight, gated fuzz to an unruly clang machine. While I opted for gentler tones with this demo, this thing can get truly nasty.
