Most editorial hair isn’t created by accident. It’s engineered. EDITORIAL ENGINEERING is a hands-on, in-person studio intensive focused on how editorial hair is actually built. This is not trend-based education. It’s not about copying looks. And it’s not about styling on instinct alone. This work is about understanding hair as a system — how it behaves, how it’s constructed, and how to intentionally build work that holds up in editorial, competition, and conceptual environments. Artists work as a small creative team to develop original editorial looks. I’m present at every stage — teaching in real time, guiding decisions, offering technical direction, and helping pivot when something isn’t working. Over four focused days we move from concept, to construction, to execution, and finally to documentation. You’ll work with wigs, wefts, and structural elements to break complex editorial ideas into buildable parts and assemble them into cohesive, original work. Part of the process is learning how work translates on camera — refining shape, balance, and detail for the image and selecting the strongest final photographs. Set in Napa Valley, the experience is immersive, supportive, and intentionally small. Total investment: $3,500 $1,000 deposit to reserve your place Payment plans available. If you’re interested in joining Editorial Engineering, you can book a consultation through the link in my bio.

Most stylists learn how to do hair. But when we learn why it works we are free! That’s the difference between repeating results and creating anything. Commercial or editorial… it’s the same foundation: shape, balance, finish, decision. That’s what we build inside EDITORIAL FOUNDATIONS. And you don’t even have to be there live. ✔️ All classes are recorded ✔️ Watch + rewatch anytime We start Monday. If you’ve been thinking about it—this is your moment. Link in bio🤓

What you see on stage is never the whole story. This piece wasn’t just created — it was engineered. Built in clay, assembled in pieces, reverse engineered from the final vision backward to the very first decision. That’s exactly what I teach in Editorial Engineering. Not just how to make something beautiful — but how to think backward from the end result, problem solve in real time, and build something that has never existed before. If you’re ready to stop guessing and start engineering your creative work — there are a few spots left in the September session. Link in bio to find out more. Or DM me the word ENGINEER and let’s talk.

If you had a VIP ticket (shoutout to @goddess.pro ), you already know. Where else can you get up close and personal with your favorite artist? At Presley Poe and Friends, we don’t put artists on a pedestal. We keep them in the same room as you, because we’ve all been in that crowd. If you could have an intimate conversation with any artist, past or present, who would it be?

When we’re kids, we don’t second guess. We see something — and we just go for it. Then somewhere along the way, someone questions it… or shuts it down… and we start to believe we’re not creative. That’s where people get stuck. The Thinking Cut is about getting back to that place — where you actually see possibilities again and trust your decisions. Not just another haircut. Not just another cutting class. A different way of thinking. 🔴 The Thinking Cut 🚡 San Francisco 📆. May 17 — 10-4 Location: San Franciso Institute of Esthetics and Cosmetology @sfiec DM me ‘SF’ and I’ll send you details. — Clip from my conversation on the podcast ✨Artists Icons & Entrepreneurs✨ with Lulu Benavidez lulubenavidez and Susan Krukonis Hanson @skh2735 🙏🏼

🍭SUGAR HIGH was inspired by retro futurism. It’s a clash of short hair and bouffants, mullets and updos … in powdery sweet confection colors. Thank you to the incredible team who created these images! Ever notice your work looks amazing in person… but falls flat in photos? That’s not you. That’s the gap between the eye and the camera. Many of us were never taught how to adjust for that. Inside Editorial Engineering, we close that gap. DM EE or book a consult.

These are the final looks from Editorial ENGINEERING. Created by the artists inside this week’s intensive. HAIR: Image 1 (blonde) @madisonsullivanhair Image 2 (dark/maroon) @ericawrightnyc Image 3 (green) @marchharesalon Not trends. Not copying. Not guessing. This is what happens when artists understand hair as a fabric - a material to be shaped and molded. We build from that. If you’ve been feeling stuck creatively, this is the shift. Editorial FOUNDATIONS starts in 2 weeks. DM “FOUND” 🤓
