Five years ago I joined Tim Hammond at Pro Espresso as an ambassador… never imagining the journey ahead.💥
From ambassador to owner, and now building Rocket Espresso UK into the exclusive UK distributor for both home and commercial machines — it’s been an incredible ride.
“Build it and they will come.” 🚀☕
Massive thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way — customers, partners, friends, and the coffee community.🖤
Today, we officially stand as Rocket Espresso UK.
The next chapter starts now.💥🚀

Like all good comebacks, the story of Russ and Dean Downing’s return to this Sunday’s Rapha Lincoln Grand Prix started with a heavy dose of convincing. “It was my daft idea… no, not daft – it was a great idea,” smiles Russ, the now 47-year-old former British road champion. His older brother Dean didn’t quite see it the same. “In a polite way, I told him to get lost,” he says. “I said, ‘No, I’m 50 years old. Bugger off. I’m not doing it. It’s too hard.’
“I think it took about a month after that to persuade me to agree to going, ‘Yeah, why not? Let’s see.’”
This Sunday, the Downings will line up at the Lincoln GP together for the first time in over a decade. It’s a race that has defined both of their careers. Russ, a former WorldTour rider with Team Sky, won the event four times between 2005 and 2012, making him the joint record holder. Dean won the title himself in 2007, and twice finished second to his brother during a stalwart career in the domestic scene.
Still, their road to this year’s edition has been the toughest yet. To meet the qualifying criteria, the brothers set off on a three-week scramble across grassroots events, collecting British Cycling points. They were so dedicated, in fact, they even raced three times in one morning.
“Lincoln has got a strong place in both our hearts,” Russ says. “I think if it had been just any other race, we wouldn’t have committed as much as this. Lincoln stands out.”
