APRIL 16 2026 @honeydijon released her 3rd studio album featuring “Okay Daddy” a tune with @cor.ece + @gavinturek and yours truly. When @lukesolomon + @cpenmusic played me the track almost 2 years ago, I imagined the ferocity of Carmen Xtravaganza, the walk of @giselealicea , the way Lorena Xtravaganza would snatch the air out of the room with her beauty…..and so many other sisters who would RIP THE BLADE on the Westside off Santa Monica BLVD after terrorizing the floors at THE ARENA. Or my butch queen brothers in NYC who would get up in the GEISH on EROS.com and TURN IT. IYKYK I REMEMBER FIRST HEARING HONEY AT HERO IN NYC. GRANTED I WAS A BABY XTRAVA AT THE TIME AND CAME IN WITH THE ELDERS OF MY HOUSE UNDER 21. WHEN I SAW HER THEN, I WAS SHOOK AT HER APPROACH BEHIND THE DECKS! FAST FORWARD YEARS LATER SHE WAS IN THE STUDIO WHEN I WAS RECORDING EVIDENCE FOR @girl_unit with @kvasnosky . THEN RUNNING AROUND LA HUNTING DOWN THE MOST FAB SMOOTHIES. LIFE IS CRAZY LIKE THAT. Honey, Luke & Chris laid the screen for a lyrical scene to reveal itself. GIVES ME CHILLS TO HEAR OUR VOICES TOGETHER! Each line a collage of audacious, irreplaceable spirits ….some still here and unsung, others passed on and immortalized in the fabric of our vernacular and expression. This existence isn’t for the weak. I honor @honeydijon for her strength and courage. Run this album up. Not just because it’s incredible music, but because there is language underneath the words. We have the privilege in this lifetime to witness the embodiment of our trans and queer elders’ wildest dreams come true through us. For that, I am humbled and eternally grateful to be birthed in and raised by THE NIGHT LIFE. As Always Xtravaganza Power!!!!!!
