We are excited to introduce the five artists participating in Groundworks, a pilot programme for Singapore-based artists engaging with digital tools. Selected via a public open call, these artists will take part in an 8-week development period and participate in a showcase in June.
Meg Severino
@megyst4r is a Filipina artist and writer whose work explores world-making, dream sequences and the emotional residue of systems, particularly those surrounding migration, faith, and technology.
Jo Ho
@chilisweetie is a media artist working with fragmentation, reassembly and visual ambiguity in digital installations and generative systems to examine how meaning is reshaped in increasingly automated environments.
Roger Ng Wei Lun
@rogerng.wl is a Singapore-based media artist who explores the intersection of technology and cultural artefacts, examining how modern tools and contemporary narratives reshape the experience of Southeast Asian motifs and mythology.
rushamc
@rushamc is a Singapore-based interdisciplinary artist working across sound, performance and music production, investigating sound as a medium for exploring memory, space and identity.
Tristan Lim’s
@trtrist_ practice investigates structures of perception, significance and desire in visual culture. His work explores the porous nature of lived reality through open-ended narrative structures expressed in mixed media installations, simulation and moving image.
