If your physio doesn’t look like this… is it even real physio? We treat everyday people like high performers because they are, every mum with a knee injury, every dad with a sore back or every grandparent wanting to lift their grandkids and walk. Living a life with jobs, family life, commitments is a juggling act. We get it. For us that’s a high performer that needs our support even more than an athlete. At Recoverie Oakwood, we treat everyday people like high performers. Whether you’re trying to get out of pain, move better, or just keep up with life, your goals matter and we approach them with the same precision we use for athletes. Using objective data and scientific backing, alongside industry-leading tech like VALD, we assess, track and progress you with intent. No guesswork. No generic plans. Just clear direction and real results. If you’re ready to take control of your rehab or performance, reach out and let’s get to work.

In simple words - pretty messed up knee 🫣😂 Day 6 Vlog - On Tuesday night had the consult with Mr. Sethi, drained the knee (watch that video soon) & and MRI. The explanation of my results will come through in a proper video in a few weeks but here is what the report shows - Impression: MRI left knee - Small knee joint effusion with evidence of recent capsular disruption. Full-thickness ACL injury associated with an impacted OCD at the lateral femoral sulcus and bone bruising at the posterior margin of the lateral tibial plateau. Features raising the possibility of a posterolateral corner injury as described. Partial thickness proximal mcl injury. LCL sprain. Complex displaced lateral meniscal tear. Likely medial meniscal ramp lesion. Grade 1 retropatellar articular cartilage damage. Tried chucking this into ChatGpt for fun & let’s just say I’ve broken AI 🤖 😂 Taking this in my stride with all the love & gratitude for each interaction with all my work, posts & the fact you guys are still here 😂❤️🙏🏽 Rehab time 🙌 #acl #aclsurgery #physio #meniscus #aclrehab

Day 1 - I’ll let the video do the talking of how reality hits when you’ve injured yourself. Praying it’s not an ACL but I know what the writing on the wall is and now to confirm the whole thing/ start the process. I post this on day 3 - wasn’t even ready to put all this out or didn’t want to film it but @rishspatel reminds me of my duty to stay authentic & build back from this & document the journey once again. Here we go … #acl #aclrehab #aclrecovery

You build the world’s best BFR kit. You have meniscus surgery. You use the world’s best BFR kit. 😂 Raj T, co-founder of @hytro_ dad of two four year old boys and just 2 weeks post-meniscus surgery with the best @kashakhtar He’s already off crutches and moving brilliantly. But here’s what most people don’t know about his post-surgery rehab. The moment you stop moving, your body starts breaking down muscle. It’s called muscle atrophy and it kicks in fast. That muscle loss is one of the single biggest reasons people never fully recover. They plateau. They compensate. So the question isn’t when do you start rehab. It’s how do you start it early without wrecking a joint that’s still healing. That’s where BFR changes everything. Blood flow restriction works by restricting the venous flow out while keeping arterial flow in. What that does is create metabolic stress in the muscle. The same signal your body gets from heavy, loaded training — but at just 20 to 30% of your normal weight. You’re essentially tricking the body into building muscle without ever heavy loading the joint. For someone 2 weeks out of meniscus surgery, that’s everything. What you’re seeing in this video is simple. Open Chain rehab & Partial Ranges raises. Heel slides. Nothing that looks dramatic but with the cuff on, Raj is feeling every single rep. The burn is real. The adaptation is real. And the results are already showing. He’s off crutches. Moving with confidence. And reaping every reward of a kit he built with his own hands. 🍽️🔥😉 Meanwhile @warren_hytro at Man City Women’s celebrations living his best life. Raj gets the glamorous shift. 😂 If you’re post-surgery, post-injury, or just want to understand why @hytro_ is becoming the standard in rehab — this one’s for you.

Dear Son, You turning 3 years old has just been an absolute joy ❤️ The world has changed & it’s always going to… My mental health is better but I have moments… that’s okay too. I want you to have the tools like I am now learning & developing ❤️ Resilience to work through tough times & vulnerability to take someone else on that journey. Don’t be scared to stand up for yourself & others ❤️ Growing up, I didn’t have the awareness & found self compassion hard to come by… but for you I want you to know it’s here & I am grateful for the opportunity you & your sister have brought for me. To show up with unconditional love ❤️ Your Papa ❤️ It’s mental health awareness week & this is a post for those out there… it’s crazy times we live in & no matter how alone it may feel… we’re all here ❤️🙌 #mentalhealthawarenessweek

A room full of strong women showing up for themselves through Pilates, strength work, stability training, and positive energy from start to finish 🤍 Yesterday’s ACL Collective was about more than rehab it was about confidence, movement and connection. Every session is a reminder that recovery isn’t just about getting back… it’s about coming back stronger 🔥 Proud of every single person who showed up, moved well, and pushed themselves. This is what th journey should feel like. #ACLRecovery #WomenWhoMove #acl #PilatesForAthletes #recoverie

I’ve always wanted this moment ❤️ Growing up I learnt to do the big milestones by myself fairly quickly. My earliest memory is an uncle teaching me how to ride & then our watchman guiding those early pedal days. I’ve always wanted children to experience my firsts where I acknowledge the win, the celebration & the joy ❤️ To my daughter, two sessions in and you ride a cycle… I hope you find this video when you doubt yourself ❤️ I must also remember to teach you how to brake… actually you can figure out when you need to slow down! 😂 ❤️

Myth Bust Monday - #2 ACL - When can I return to sport after my surgery? It’s been almost a year, the surgeon said I could go back after a year! I am dying to go back to my sport again! I feel strong, I have been lifting heavy and have no pain at all! So, can I? Well, only if ACL rehab was time dependent and not function dependent! If you pass the these tests, we can definitely get you back to the game; but you gotta pass them first! [ ACL, Return To Sport, Rehab, VALD] #lifeinmotion

Parenting through an ACL injury is a different level of hard. At first, people rally. The drop-offs get covered, the school runs handled, the extra pair of hands shows up. But then comes the moment your partner hits a wall and you can’t do anything about it. Your kids want you on the floor, crawling, being jumped on. And you watch them run ahead… and you can’t follow. My son hasn’t seen me run with him in nearly three years. Three years of surgeries. Three years of “not yet.” That stings in a way I didn’t expect — especially as someone who lives and breathes movement and tells others how important it is. ACL rehab asks for 6-8 extra hours a week from a body that’s already running on empty as a parent. And the hardest part? The middle stage — when you’re just functional enough to get through the day, but nowhere near the person you were trying to get back to. You need a team that gets the chaos. That works around the toddler hanging off you mid exercise. That celebrates the small wins because they know how much showing up actually cost you that day. If you’re navigating injury rehab as a parent and you’re struggling — please reach out. ❤️ My team and I see you. We’re here for exactly this. 📩 Link in bio
