On this day two years ago (22nd March), Jasmin Paris finished the Barkley Marathons. An iconic moment that sent shockwaves around the world. For many, Jasmin became a symbol of the strength of women, not only in running, but in life.⁠⁠@searchingforzocherman photos went viral, spreading through global medias and over the net . His image of Jasmin collapsing at the gate has been described as one of the most iconic photos in the history of sport.⁠⁠Recently, he was asked by a client for unpublished material from the 2024 Barkley edition. For the first time since the race, he went back through the raw files.⁠⁠“I simply didn’t have time in the aftermath of the race to go through the material properly. @cepsports has unveiled the Optaspeed BowTech, a new performance training shoe built around its patented dual-plate BowTech kinetic system.⁠⁠Described by the brand as “speed and control in one intelligent system”, the technology is designed to store and release energy throughout the stride cycle while guiding runners through a more efficient line of forward momentum.⁠⁠The shoe also combines Supercritical N+Foam with EVA cushioning in the heel, aiming to improve stability, reduce impact and maintain running economy under fatigue.⁠⁠CEP says independent testing showed up to a 3% improvement in VO₂ efficiency, alongside longer stride length and improved mechanics across distance efforts. @templerunninggirona and @acg are currently taking on a 600km relay from Girona to Zegama ahead of this year’s Zegama-Aizkorri.⁠⁠Named “Our Way to Zegama”, the project will see 28 runners split across four teams of seven, with each team choosing its own route towards Zegama while completing three mandatory trail sections along the way.⁠⁠After missing out on bibs for Zegama, the group decided to run there anyway.⁠⁠ Photos via @woujow⁠⁠#running #nikeacg #zegama⁠

South African-born designer @alexzono is premiering a new film titled Running is my Bestfriend ahead of Paris Fashion Week.⁠⁠Directed by Roberto Comolmbo, the documentary follows Zono and a close group of friends as they travel to Arizona to take on the Black Canyon Ultra Marathon while wearing pieces from his namesake running label.⁠⁠Rather than focusing purely on performance, the project centres around friendship, travel and the emotional side of running culture.
