I nearly started crying editing this🥹 today, I got invited to Cedar Valley High School by some athletes who follow me on social media. They wanted me to pray with them as they were attempting to break the school record. And guess what….THEY DID! With all the blessings that come from being a pro, this is my fav one. Getting to be a light and pray with the youth and watch their Faith in God cause big things to happen. 🥹 I love you guys, every single one of you and I was left completely inspired. Prayer is real and God is good!!! ❤️ thanks @runeliteprogram@phosperformance@hammondfootandankle and @athlecaresportsrecovery and to @saucony for having faith in me allowing me to follow my dreams!! Thanks to @k_salle16 for capturing this moment for me🥹 #RunWithGod #SpiritualLegs
“Keep smiling!” Something @jwardy21 told me in a conversation after the race. Something that stuck with me. A reminder of what’s really important, a reminder to celebrate what you’ve accomplished and not dwell in what you didn’t, a reminder that this was only my second marathon and there’s so much more to come!
Would I liked to have run a faster time? Yes. My training indicates I can. But not every marathon is the same.
The @pghmarathon was beautiful, gritty, and taught me more about what it’s like to race a marathon.
Thank you to @isaacew and Bob Wood for supporting me throughout this race and beyond.
And congratulations to @janebareikis for making history and winning for the third consecutive year!
The US Road 5k Champs is quickly becoming one of my favorite races of the year! 🤩 4th place in 15:06 for a new road 5k PR and my fastest 5k post surgery! It was a fun-filled weekend getting to race some amazing athletes and spend time with friends and family.

I came a little short of my goal of finishing in the top two, but I’m walking away so proud of my effort on Saturday. After a rocky end to the indoor season, I was really starting to struggle with confidence. Coach Eyestone and I went back to the drawing board and decided to really focus on getting as strong as possible this spring, get my mileage up, and prioritize consistency. The spring training block was my most consistent and healthiest I’ve had post surgery! I stood on the starting line knowing I had prepared the best I could and focused in on the goal of being proud of my race no matter the outcome. I found myself racing with confidence and taking risks, something I haven’t done in a long time. Confidence is always a work in progress, but I’m excited to work on carrying this momentum for a fun summer of racing!
