Been sitting on this footage for a little over 2 years, part of a short film project I was working on with Andy. I think we were both being tremendously precious about it, trying to close out a project that is much bigger than us. After some time we realized there isn’t one single iteration of this work that will make this feel “complete”, this is a journey we’ll probably be on forever.
Rara Mixtape Volume One is not the documentary I wanted to make, but it is a small piece of what I want to say while exploring Rara music and Haitian culture through film.

Been excited to post this one proper for some time. Last year got the opportunity to help lead creative direction for a zine around the incredible communities the Adidas Purpose Division works hard to champion.
