Little recap from my latest gig for @area_paris @badaboum.paris I’m very thankful for the opportunity and for each mistake and off beat transition. Did you know pitch riding in club settings can cause the needle to jump because the decks are wobbly? I didn’t, lesson learned!! This was also my first opening and I took great pleasure creating the best atmosphere I could for the next DJ, which led me to play records I usually never play even at home. A collection of ambient and drone works. I tried to convey a feeling of sweet melancholia, like a love lost but never truly known and mostly, a feeling of being in peace with myself and the world. It features textures, sounds out of this world and ambiences of myself, mostly just waking up with my cat in my bed or reading a book, like a blend of extraterrestrial and deeply human, intimate experiences. “This album tastes like dew, tears and Earl Grey tea. It smells like Armenian paper, the soil after fresh rain and baby powder. It feels like silk, Quinnie’s fur and a soft breeze. It looks like mist on a cold morning and the soft purple of a dying day. Time to rest a little now.” Every individual track is available on Bandcamp, however I made a listening version for soundcloud, where every track is blended with the previous and the following to ensure a smooth unfolding. This was a different kind of challenge than usual, as I produced the album as a whole instead of individual tracks. For monetisation purposes, I posted each track instead of the complete album.
