@nongkrongfest ’s Pasar Senja coming up this Saturday i thought id share some throwbacks from last year’s Nongkrong Fest 🌺
It was chaotic and life-affirming being Nongkrong’s music programmer last year, and its been a more serene (hehe) full-circle moment to join the festival again this year as an artist. Last year we had the pleasure of programming amazing acts, from

@abdi.karya touring here from indonesia, having the honour of hosting Yolngu artists and storytellers
@leila_gurruwiwi and
@yirrmalofficial to celebrate Yolngu and Makassan shared histories, our friends Liam Budelasia and
@jocelyntribe from darwin, and incredible local nusantara acts like
@karinautomo ,
@cristal.no.5 ,
@music_hantu ,
@rahzizan , the myriad of local gamelan and traditional groups that we are so lucky to have here, and sooo many more.
From all the bts madness, the joy, the joget2, pushing a broken kaki lima through a kilometre stretch of busy weekend CBD, throwing 9 events over 2 weeks with a smol n mighty crew of friends, to clocking 40,000 steps in one day at our last fed square event (!), nongkrong gave me life, gave me lifelong friends and an indonesian community i didnt know how much i needed until i found them (n they found me) 🥹
