What resonated most was this line that just after 1 session: “I learnt more about how the body works and how the way I hold and use my body will impact my future face than I have in 10 years of working in the beauty industry.”
That, for me, captures the essence of FACE UP.
This work isn’t about surface beauty or incense-cloud mysticism. It’s about fascia and the connecting networks that shape our faces as we age, and about understanding the body with the precision of structural engineering because I do believe bodies are intelligent mechanical systems that respond to alignment, load, tension and capacity.
At the same time, structure is only part of the story. The nervous system and the energetic state of the body matter just as much. FACE UP works where mechanics and feeling meet where safety allows release, and support allows change.
When someone who has spent a decade inside the beauty industry says that one session shifted her perception of beauty and health, that matters. Because what happens in that room is not a treatment in the traditional sense - it’s a re-education of how the body is held, used, supported and understood.

Not a work recap but a big thank u to all the people I’ve met through work or life or screaming into a mic or however! Whether it be old, new, fleeting or sporadic friends and connections, it’s people and communities that drive me the most! Bouncing around every three months or so has been amazing but also hard to maintain relationships when you’re a less-than-ideal communicator like meee so feeling v grateful to those who always have open arms whenever I pop up on their radar 💘

End of an era! My longest job ever. So hard to whittle it down to 20 photos but I think these best encapsulate my time at VMD. It really was my dream role and how lucky am I to have had that privilege? I will miss the people, trips (I went on SO many, one year I was almost nonstop) and the sparkling water on tap in the office. It’s a luxury not everyone gets to experience but I did. PS that is me getting a facial in a meeting room — we really had some great times.
