Finally managed to make a post about the show on the evening it closes BUT…
I had the absolute pleasure of coming back again to curate this year’s MA show, ‘Ears to the ground’ at Bergen Kunsthall ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Tusen takk to every single one of these 29 artists ~ which can’t all fit into this post ~ what a fun, supportive, confident energy you poured into this show ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥 although exhausting + hard and sometimes confusing, this job has been my fave ever. I’ve learnt so much from you all!!!
+ huge thanks to Bergen Kunsthall team for the collaboration. 💎

behind the scenes working on 𝘢 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘱𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘵, 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘨𝘭𝘰𝘸𝘪𝘯𝘨 throughout the cold sparkling winter and into spring.
masking tape, tendrils of silver wire, closeness, icy traces, citrus pangs, slithers of light, pools of sound, unruly archives.
𝘢 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘱𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘵, 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘨𝘭𝘰𝘸𝘪𝘯𝘨 by Feronia Wennborg opens in the upstairs space of Hordaland Kunstsenter this Saturday (11th April), 12:00-17:00.
It’s been a very beautiful journey & I can’t wait to share it with you!

11.04 – 10.05.2026
𝘢 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘱𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘵, 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘨𝘭𝘰𝘸𝘪𝘯𝘨 is an exhibition of new work by Feronia Wennborg as part of Rumours & Murmurs: An Archive Project at Hordaland Kunstsenter, curated by Ruby Eleftheriotis.
Wennborg’s sound installation unfolds as a cocooning swell of atmospheric worlds. Moving across multiple speakers, the audio drifts non-linearly between textural sounds, vocal fragments and hazy clouds of affect and abstraction. a love past and present, leaking, glowing invites you to pay deep attention to the resonances and relationships that swirl and radiate around and between us.

Buekorpsmuseet Opening night: Friday 13 February, 18:00 - 21:00
It was through Whiskers/Værhår, Stiansen’s ongoing art project, that I began to see Buekorps, a long-stranding tradition of Bergen, as something else.
An opening to a counter-city, a game of make-believe, a sci-fi, a myth-making story device.
Slinking around, watching, observing, being seen - performing
Whiskers, vibrations, puberty
Imaginary paradise, secret island, spirituality
Symbols, rituals, tassels and a comb
Rhythms and repetition
Acting, playing,
Playing at acting

the pink ship at c.sundts is sailing
this week we hand back the keys to c.sundts and our pink ship sets sail into a new nomadic life. the last six years of precious precarity and creativity have been nothing but fulfulling and meaningful hard work.
we have plumbed, gathered, listened, walked, talked, cooked, wrote, tried, napped, cleaned, watered, created, exhibited, hosted, welcomed, and sent countless funding applications.
now it is time to listen to our guts and let aerial at c.sundts set sail. we need to listen a little harder to the inner messages from our tummies, although hungry for more, we need to reign in the ropes and seek a more sustainable practice. that both gives and takes.
so for now, we want to say a heartfelt thank you. thank you for popping by, for lending us stuff, for collaborating with us, trusting us, and for all the opportunities and hard graft.
aerial became what it was because of you.
for now,
ha det
and on behalf of aerial
hugs

back exploring archives at Hordaland Kunstsenter ~ this time with @ferwenn ~ working towards the 3rd exhibition as part of curatorial project RUMOURS & MURMURS ❤️🔥
looking at misbehaving archives, remnants of a seeming after-party in the archive with confetti on the ground, the imaginative potential of archives, how to dream beyond those yellow folders, misplaced exhibitions, an archive of rejections, applications for exhibitions that never materialised - or did they? coyotes + cowboys + crackling air vents.
It is an archive not of closure, but of possibility - its presence felt through whispering rumours….

Thank you to all the beautiful visitors at the opening of ‘Somewhere A Bright Star Burns’ at USF Verftet. We were very moved by your attention and thoughtful words! Tusen Takk alle sammen! The exhibition is open this week til Sunday from 12-5. Photos very kindly taken by Nils Øverås.
TONIGHT Somewhere A Bright Star Burns opens @visningsrommetusf 18-21 !!!
a labour of love in every sense ~ incredibly lucky to enter the worlds of Jack + Tamara ~ to work with them as they poured their hearts + souls entirely into this project ~ a reminder that oftentimes art is made because it needs to be made ~ ‘need’ in the sense of desire / passion / burning / restlessness / desperation to give shape to something that moves through you, to get closer to something ~ that friendship is a guiding force ~ to lean into the out-of-reachness of it all
Come celebrate this shining show tonight ~ @tamaramacarthur will be performing all night long for you…
