My great grandparents were Bundists. My great grandfather and namesake served multiple prison sentences in Poland for his fight against antisemitism, nationalism, and the persecution of the working class. They vehemently opposed Zionism from its first inception, as the natural common sense conclusion of a humanist, egalitarian political party. For all my life, this history has been very difficult to explain to even my closest friends. Today, Molly Crabappleās heroic triumph, āHere Where We Live Is Our Country: The Story of the Jewish Labor Bund,ā is available for purchase. Run, donāt walk, to get this precious history in your hands. I underlined almost every sentence. More writing and events around this incredible achievement⦠stay tuned šŖāļøā¤ļøāš„
