“Resting on top of the altar is a kinetic industrial sculpture resembling an animal skeleton, stripped of flesh and suspended in an endless, mechanical gesture. The figure claws at its own discarded fur, enacting a loop of repetition that echoes both psychoanalytic excavation and archival obsession. Like the subject of psychoanasis, the machine turns compulsively inward in search of an original truth, rehearsing gestures of uncovering that can never fully resolve themselves. Camilla Alberti’s sculpture appears as a creature in formation, a hybrid organism suspended between animal and vegetal forms. This fragile and mutating presence finds an echo in Ruby Chen’s images, where distorted and doubled figures emerge as signs of inner tension. In both cases, the body remains unstable, shaped by transformation and entering into relation with something beyond itself. Glad to have contributed to this exhibition.
