Together we reflected on our charitable acheivements of the past year with our community of music-lovers and music-makers, and looked ahead to exciting things to come!

Classical music is a door to new worlds. The RPS Young Classical Writers Prize calls on writers aged 16-25 to open it and pen their musical opinions in a personal and expressive way.
Applications are now open to UK-based writers, until Friday 28 August. We invite you to unleash your imagination, and set out to capture in words what makes classical music so boundless, enlivening and timeless.

We're looking forward to the 2026 @stmagnusfestival ! As well as the premiere performance by the @marianconsort of RPS Composer @emilyhazrati 's new piece commissioned as part of the RPS Composers programme, you can hear new music from RPS Composer @dan_kidane1 , and performances from RPS Henderson Chamber Ensemble Award winners @fibonacciquartet – including RPS Composer @fergushallmusic 's 'Three Hours After High Water'.
@hebridesensemblemusic will perform RPS Composer @arthur_keegan_music 's 'Coalesce - Quartet for the Start of life', written as part of the RPS Composers programme, and the Wallace Collection alongside @thecooperationband1 perform John Wallace's transcription of Gabrieli's 'The Invisible Symphony' – as a tribute to John, who was awarded RPS honorary Membership last year.
