Small recap of the wonderful label night with @groovence_discs at @djoonclub alongside @williamflorelle / @armlesskid / @francois_moonee No words can describe my joy, but videos can tell how happy I was to finally step inside that booth & share nice energies with happy people inside that happy place.

J’ai découvert la @sweetapricotsparty à ses débuts en 2018, j’ai même participé à la toute première édition. C’est mon pote @decompostelle qui m’y avait convié. Cette même année 2018, j’avais décidé qu’un jour j’allais jouer à cette soirée. C’était un objectif parmis tant d’autres, comme de créer mon label, ou encore jouer au Djoon. Ces deux derniers je les ai déjà coché. En 2023, j’ai commencé à échanger avec Slym, le fondateur de la soirée, je lui avais envoyé mon EP Passage of Time qu’il a tout de suite adoré, on s’est rencontré, et j’ai senti qu’un lien sincère se créait. Avec le temps, ce sentiment s’est confirmé, et après 7 ans d’attente et de patience, je peux fièrement dire que je jouerais sur le sound system audiophile le plus authentique et qualitatif de Paname, et je cocherais officiellement mon dernier objectif fixé en 2018. Le rendez-vous est donné jeudi 20 février (demain) à 19h à l’espace albatros de Montreuil, pour 5 heures de voyage dont je serai le guide.

Playing @sisyphosberlin was one kind of an experience I won’t forget. Vibe was at the rendez-vous, my heart is still there. Special s/o @groovence_discs for setting things up perfectly, this man @francois_moonee had me playing everywhere since we met. What a treat! Keep The Bass Thumpin with Amour Deep Vol.1 by @groovence_discs [GRVNC08] After building up a nice head of steam with its firsts releases, French label Groovence now starts a new series, Amour Deep, with volume number one. It’s a various artists affair that kicks off with the deep and sensuous sounds of Moonee’s ‘Amour Deep’ (feat Simple Request) which has swirling and romantic pads and a great r&b vocal sample. Milk & Honey picks up the pace with the more raw and bumpy ‘Chi Train’ and Armless Kid goes deep into an electro workout complete with bittersweet D3 style piano chords on ‘Night Ride’. Super thankful to be joining forces with @visions_recordings and their quality releases. This is one of the label I’ve been looking up to when I started my journey 8 years ago. Passage Of Time EP on @top.pocket.records is finally out, and trust me, this project has come a looooong way before getting released. Back in September 2020, @krywald_and_farrer asked me for some demos after hearing some of my tunes on @dj_caspa radio show. Time passed by, and the project to release the three meticulously selected tracks went quiet. Just when I thought I would release it by myself, the boys came back to me with the good news that the vinyls were pressed and ready to be stamped and shipped. Life is all about taking time to do things, and, most importantly, being patient. I like to explore new horizons and this project says it all about my research and need to renew my sound palette each time I start a new project. I am still improving my production skills and striving to achieve a higher degree of professionalism to create timeless tracks. This is one of the project I am the most proud of even though the tracks were created in 2019/2020. May this music live in your ears, be shared with your loved ones, and bring beautiful moments of communion, through time, as long as possible. With 🫶🏼 and devotion

15 years ago I built, I dreamt, I cherished & held on to the hope of playing at @djoonclub at least once in my life. I have been worshiping this club ever since. I discovered the club existence through a video with the Martinez Brothers playing there for the first time at a Cheers party. This is also the first time I saw a rotary mixer in action. I watched the video at least 30 times, seeking each and every track in the YouTube comment section (Shazam wasn’t born yet..) My love for disco, soulful vocals & percussion solos started with that video. March 3rd, this dream will finally come true in its purest form.

@williamflorelle - Sometimes (Roy Vision Mind Mix) out on @groovence_discs . Been a minute since we talked about working on something together with @williamflorelle His voice is incredibly deep and I can remember the first time I put some of his lyrics into a demo I was working on. It clicked instantaneously. Long story short, these lyrics you hear in Sometimes could have been the one for our first collab but we didn’t take the time to finish it. Weeks later, @groovence_discs asked me to choses a remix I’d like to work on for this EP and I naturally choose this track, and did another take made especially for the occasion. We still have to find some time to do some things, don’t we Joshua ?

Outlines compilation OUT everywhere This project Outlines is a very special one since it contains the track I’m the most proud of to date. Back to 2017, when I first started working on it, I knew form the very beginning of the process this would be a turning point concerning my music production skills. This was actually the first time I stepped out of my confort zone trying to get my own sound identity. And it got more serious when I met @_yughz in 2018. We barely knew each other from a mutual friend. I knew he was playing all sorts of instruments, and was able to make everything shine in a very short period of time. Knowing he was mastering the trumpet thanks to his music education, I asked him to come by and try something. We briefly exchanged on the artistic direction telling him to feel free to improvise. In literally less than 10 minutes, his trumpet part was done, catapulting the track to a whole new dimension. Fast forward to 2021, I’m stocked to be part of this beauty of a compilation @anmarecordslondon and @cognitiva_records put out April 2nd as a collaborative piece of work between the two labels. From Artwork to music selection process, everything is mastered to perfection. A huge « Merci » to @angelomichaelmazzone and @sofatalk_ for having me on board.
