Watermark Extension 8b✅ My first outdoor 8b. And I’m the third woman in Scotland to send 8b outdoors. More words soon but it was a really special day. I was on the wall for over 40 minutes to do this mega 40m route! We videod it and will get that uploaded when I can! #sella #wildside

Turkish Airways 8a+ ✅ What a fight for my first outdoor 8a+! Fourth attempt on the last day of the trip! Really had to grit my teeth and get this route sent! Took me five sessions. Piotrek sent a 6c+ earlier today and the send train was therefore a possibility I couldn't pass up! More thoughts soon on the route and how it felt to project and send it! P.S I sent it in socks 😏

8b✅ My second 8b 🥺 You can hear Piotrek shouting for me at the end 💘 Pulled on and didn't feel too great but carried on and my muscles relaxed and suddenly I was clipping the chain! #ratho #eicaratho #8b

It’s quite surreal to be writing that Piotrek sent his first 8a yesterday! It’s only taken him a couple of weeks to do it. He’s been climbing about two and a half years and it was an honour to watch him execute this route with such technical proficiency yesterday. It had me lost for words! Within the space of a few weeks he’s done his first 7c+ and now an 8a! On a roll 🥳 Very proud! and I am very excited to watch Piotrek’s climbing progress 🥰

8b+ pink ✅ Another video edited by Piotrek. I hope you enjoy watching it! The last move was a heart-in-the-mouth, board-style jump to a jug. I fell off the last move on a few attempts which was extremely frustrating, but also useful in a way too. It forced me to confront the last move with a different approach. On my successful send go, I adopted a new mental tactic. Whilst I was shaking out before the jump, I told myself to imagine that this wasn’t a send go. I imagined that I had already fallen off so that I could remove the pressure. I imagined it was just one of those gos where I was practicing the moves. As a result, I didn’t hesitate at all when I set up for the jump. Often I’ve found it’s just a small psychological adjustment that is needed to send a route. Side note: very glad my heel didn’t slip off when I was clipping the draw at the first roof! Thank you to my sponsor @grip_type for the support 🫶

Calpe Trip, January 2026 🧗❤️☀️💨 I had a blast on my first trip of 2026!! Thank you Iain and Jules for inviting me 🥰 I loved every minute. Was so much fun to meet up with Rach and Andy for team crag days! And was also great to meet Emily and Ester for a day too! Other highlights included onsighting my first 8a, sending three 8a+s, and exploring some of the epic crags Costa Blanca has to offer. Can’t wait to return to sample some more routes and crags. 1.) Group photo with Iain, Jules, Rach and Andy 2.) Rincon Bello - my fave crag of the trip. 3.) Jackets were needed, it wasn’t as warm as it looked. The penon is in the background 🐧 4.) I enjoyed the view when I did some pull ups here 5.) Jules at Aixorta 6.)The cathedral in Altea. I had a lovely day out with Jules and her mum Maureen 7.) Millena was the most bitter crag I’ve been to in a while 🥶felt as bad as standing on the “Sufferance” ledge at Dumbarton whilst the wind is funneled towards you into that corner 8.) Iain at a brilliant new crag we checked out 9.) I enjoyed walks on the beach 10.) Garx crag (Cherries 🍒) 11.) a view from a fun crag recce rest day with Iain. 12.)Calpe old town 13.) a very quiet Calpe beach 14.) Altea, quite a posh place! 15.) A bustling cafe in the square in the old town of Altea 16.)Rincon Bello 17.) A few days of harsh rain meant we had a training day at the wall in Alicante, aptly named “The Indoor Wall” 😆 18.) The nicest street lamp I’ve ever seen 19.) Altea cathedral

Melalcoholico 7c+/8a ✅onsight I had a really enjoyable last day in Costa Blanca at Rincon Bello with Iain, Jules, Rach and Andy. Here are some photos taken by Jules. I’m going to write a bigger end of trip post soon as I feel too tired for writing right now! But I’ve really loved this trip, it’s been one of my favourites! The company and climbing has been the best ❤️

Lactosis 8a+ ✅3rd go. This is my favourite route so far of my trip to Costa Blanca. Here’s a video of the hardest section of the route. The crux was based around a small tufa pinch, followed by very small crimps, and a weird undercling finger lock move with my right index finger which hurt less than it sounds 😂 my friend Andy was on a route next to me and as he watched me do the crux he asked “Roxy are you sure that’s the move?” It was quite cold today but there was a lack of wind so it was no where near as bitterly cold as our experience at Millena a few days ago! I did still climb the route with pretty numb fingers, which was probably an advantage for the small pockets and crimps! It was a send train sorta day with Jules sending Lágrimas Negras and Rachel sending Santi Deluxe. Rincon Bello is a ridiculously cool crag. My jaw dropped on the approach as the immensity of the wall came into view. Quite an intimidating but inspiring venue. I think the word sublime describes it well. Great crag vibes as always with the team ❤️ @grip_type

Las alas de Gabriel 8a+✅ second go We went to a perishing crag called Millena today. If you go there in the winter definitely don’t get there early! It was very windy today and we were all suffering from numb fingers and toes. Every time the wind gusted I wanted to cry 😆 This route I climbed whilst frozen stiff! You can see in the video during my sped-up rests that I’m waving my arms around trying to get some blood into my fingers 🥶 I filmed the first 15 metres of this route which had the crux. It was tricky vertical climbing with some crimps and pockets. I didn’t really remember what I was doing for some of the moves but I stayed calm and worked it out. The rest of the route which is out of shot was around another 15 metres of climbing but on slab. The moves were very blind and I was wishing there was more chalk up there! I’m not normally into slab climbing but I really enjoyed the moves. I got into the slab zone which distracted me a little bit from how cold I was 😭😅thank you for the patient belay @chalk_dust_66 ❤️ @grip_type

Mas-carilla 8a✅onsight My first 8a onsight, very pleased! Here’s some snaps of me hanging happily on the rope after clipping the chain. Just below me is my new friend Rachel! Thank you to my lucky belayer @chalk_dust_66 (who wasn’t pleased I didn’t give him a shoutout for belaying me on the 8a+😂) and to @juliepearson700 for the photos ❤️ The crux had very small crimps and I had to dig in and not let go! I’m having a lot of fun out here with the gang 🥰 @grip_type
